World War III - Has It Started?

The enemy is invisible. There are no rules. They wear no uniform. They come from no single country. They are everywhere, posing as teachers, doctors and lawyers. Some are teenagers. Others are women. They strike without warning. They consider their martydom as God's Will.

Afghanistan, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Morroco, Indonesia, Egypt, United States, London, Spain and numerous other countries have been attacked.

The enemy shows no sign of slowing down, no signs of defeat.

Like the mythological hydra, you cut off one head, another grows.

World War III is unlike any previous world war. Having no battlefield, it is impossible to predict where the enemy will attack or how.

With suicide bombings almost a daily occurence, and with the recent suicide bombing in Egypt killing at least 88 people, men, women and children, all of us are asking the question, "When will it stop? What have we done? Why the hatred?"

It is clear that those who practice Islam peacefully are not the real threat.

Those muslims that see the Western world and apostate muslim governments as a threat to their way of life, are ready to kill, ready to sacrifice themselves for Allah, and kill as many people as possible.

We can only wonder: Is what is happening today fulfilling Bible prophecy, or is there another sinister reason for all this bloodshed. Can it really be said that what is happening today is a World War? It could be. After all, the respective leaders of many countries are speaking about the "global war on terror." Bush and Blair, foremost fighters against the terrorists are loudly proclaiming that every civilised country in the world must defeat this enemy of freedom and democracy.

Don't panic. If it wasn't for the media most people wouldn't have noticed this "world war". That certainly wasn't the case for millions of Europeans, Asians and Africans during the other two WWs.

If Bush and Blair are the "foremost fighters against the terrorists", then we are well and truly [edited].

Throughout history, there has always been some group "terrorizing" the majority. Anarchists were the "terrorists" of the 19th century, Communists in the 20th.

    Life goes on.

People always seem to think that our time is so special, and that what happened today is a majour disaster one of the worst in history bla bla bla. It is hard to see yourself and the world at a single moment from the right distance. (from the right perspective).

I agree although the fact the WMDs can possibly be purchased on the black market and be used to to wipe a whole city or country makes it a tad bit different.

I agree with your sentiments, but the media today has made the world a global village. Since when in the history of London, have suicide bombers ever attacked civilians?

The previous "anarchies" of yesteryear just didn't have the firepower or technology for a global campaign like Bin Ladens minions.

Just to add further to my comments, it's true that the fomer USSR had hundreds of nuclear weapons trained on the USA and other countries. But they never actually used them. The closest the world came to nuclear war was "The Bay of Pigs" in the early 60s.

Were terrorists actually able to get a hold of a nuclear device, they would almost certainly use it. They have already demonstrated their commitment to killing.

If you really think that all this is just a "phase" then you are mistaken.

Bible or no bible, religion or atheist, this is happening to ordainary people like yourselves who just want to get to work and come home without being blown up.

    truthseeker,

I see what you're saying, but as one Iraqi minister put it "we have a few Londons here every month" (or something to that effect).

Perhaps a 'World War' is not exactly what you mean.
