The statement appears in one of Watchtower's publications, an older yearbook if I recall correctly. The explanation that it gave for his request is that a Roman who had lived an honorable or moral life was entitled to die buried in a toga, the implication being that if he had not been moral he would not have been so entitled. Russell claimed he had had no sexual liason with any woman other than his wife Maria although others said to the contrary, so he was asserting at the end that he was not immoral.
