I wash my hands almost to my elbows! I am a freak about it! I have anti bacterial spray I take with me everywhere and I use that too! One Time I was at a local concert and there was this really big ugly creepy guy next to me! He smelled so bad! There I was in my grunge outfit Khakis shorts and a white tank top and High Heel Tennis shoes! I grabbed my spay and started to spray him and then he looked at me and I smiled and said "you smell better now!" I smiled really big hoping he would not send in his biker girl friend to kick my ass. Not because she could but because I was wearing clothes that could stain easily and I just had my nails done! Brooke

Ha ha, one time at work, the men's bathroom sink was broke, but there was a working one almost right outside the door in the breakroom. We sat on break watching each guy come out of the bathroom. If they didn't stop and wash their hands on the other sink, we knew they didn't wash at all. Most of them didn't. I work at a grocery store. Ewwwww.

There are more germs/bacteria per square inch on a shared keyboard than there is on a toilet seat.

That said, yes I do wash my hands with soap and water. I also carry an anti-bacteria 'waterless' hand cleaner in my car. When teaching First Aid I always teach that washing/disinfecting your hands for two minutes is strongly recommended EVEN if wearing gloves.

I am not a fanatic about hand washing but I give it due consideration.

An Englishman and an American were comming out of the wash-room. The American says to the Englishman " Didn't your mother ever teach you to wash your hands after having a pee?"
The Englishman replied"Didn't your mother ever teach you not to pee on your hands?"

A woman said that to me one time. So I replied "didnt your mother teach you to use toilet paper when you wipe?"

In a public rest room the most contaminated object is the washbasin and faucet.

Since I keep my diddly-john cleaner than a public peeing place, it figures that it is more hygienic in that situation not to wash the hands.

If I am preparing food of course, yes.

I wash after all the time! Often wash before using the bathroom as well...when I'm not at home. I can't stand for my hands to be dirty and can actually feel when they are.

IMO, Everyone ought to wash their hands, WITH SOAP, after going to the bathroom no matter what you do or what your gender is. Just cuz you don't mind touching your tool and going about your business afterwards doesn't mean I want to!
