I'll post more as I get it but according to the 'Mail on Sunday' this serial killing monster has "become one of Jehovah's Witnesses".

    Sick.

    Taken from your link:

It was reported, and confirmed by the Home Office, that on Monday, January 17 2005, Peter Sutcliffe was escorted in a high-security van from Broadmoor to the coastal town of Arnside, Cumbria, to visit the place where the ashes of Sutcliffe's father had been scattered by the family. John Sutcliffe died in June 2004.

    .

My grandfather is buried in that same cemetary. Not nice to have the YR there.

This is a very serious statement you have made. Please back it up with a quotation from the paper if you have it.

Broadmoor, where this vile person is held, is a top security mental hospital/prison, I cannot see that the JWs would ever be allowed in to study with anyone. But then again, stranger things have happened.

I would imagine that the JWs will have something to say along the lines of how they accept all truly repentant sinners.

But as I understand it Sutcliffe has been attempting to be released from prison. Psychotic killers are 'extremely clever'. Joining a religion can be a clever disguise to them to help secure release. I believe the Home Office, or hope that the Home Office is one step ahead.

I believe that Myra Hindley became a Christian and that she even had support from high up in the C of E, but that didn't do her any good in her attempt to released from prison. Public opinion is far too strong to allow people who commit horrific crimes to ever be released..

Glad the judicial system responds to public opinion in England. Here in the States - it's hit or miss.

    a) Pet salmon?!

b)Hubby was just of down to the news agents to get his lottery winnings..heheheheh...when I rang him and asked him to pick up the Mail on Sunday. Lo and behold it's true. Sutcliffe is studying to become a witness and plans to be baptised in the Broadmoor Pool. He seems to show little remorse for his 13 victims though. Wonder what the damage control dept at the WTBTS is doing as we speak?
