some women on there trying to fleece men for free meals out

some guys probably thought that about me when I only went out with them once....had nothing to do with the fact they lied about their age, looks and income.

For the most part I have found a lot of liars but inbetween were some nice people. There are two guys I dated off Matchmaker.com that I am still friends with. Apparently online dating is like a box of chocolates too

My one sided view is there are some women on there trying to fleece men for free meals out - and in one case even money.

Yup... there are also women who like to string men along for the power-trip. Basically they like to see just how long they can keep him coming back for more abuse.

A few months ago some chick tried that on me. We made plans, I showed up but she didn't... 15 minutes after she was supposed to be there she called and said she would have to reschedule. Yeah, right. Beotch can find someone else to play with. A *normal* girl will call well in advance to cancel a data... I can handle that. A psycho chick will call *after* the date to cancel... homey don't play da't.

I was in a casino last night and I said to the croupier, "Im just going to the bar to get a drink", and a girl, a complete stranger said to me, "I'll look after your chips" (there was about £7000) I said ok and went to the bar. When I got back, she gave me £300 pound back and had lost the rest gambling with my money. I have to point out at this stage that is was toy money in aid of the tsunami, but even so. [I know the more I experience of women, the more cynical I am becoming]

Else, maybe they felt you were extremely picky about their size and looks. Maybe you could be more realistic about what to expect from real women. That said: I do agree that women should not string you along. They also should not stand you up.They shouldn't use you for a free meal or for money.

Getting back to looks though, I know that if I was going to go out with a guy who was so afraid of an over weight woman, I'd pick up on that kind of phobia at some crucial point and I'd cut things off then and there. I was once slender and in great shape. I'm not anymore.(Did just join the Y for health reasons though) I don't want to be judged soley on my dimensions & fitness level. Most people don't want that either. Thank goodness Andy isn't hung up on having some centerfold type woman. We'd both have missed out on a rare and wonderful friendship and love. By the way, he fell in love with me long before he saw a picture of me. He said he would not have cared if I had weighed four hundred pounds and had my face melted and scarred in a fire. He's a good looking guy who is a few years younger than me. He had to convince me it was okay to build a relationship with him. How refreshing he is in a world where people get locked into the idea that only what the media tells us is attractive is so.

Why the hell did you give a complete stranger £7000 in chips?

Don't they have a secure place to store them at the casino? If not, you need to find another casino.

any girl who calls that late is a major player...and just has horribly bad manners. if i was a guy and she called me, i would hang up on her in mid-sentence.

In a casino, you'll find compulsive gamblers of both genders who will pull such stunts. It's a problem of gambling and not of gender wars.

It was a blind date... I had no idea what she looked like.

Maybe I'm too trusting, or just stupid - I think it comes from having been a JW. But I'm sure a man entrusted like this would not do the same, even if it's just becuase he knows you would deck him. Women try it on to see what they can get away with like a child. GGGrrrrr!
