I heard two new things, today.
First the remains of all the occupants have now been recovered.
Second, that those were the strongest winds experienced here since the 1920's!!!We are expecting more gales on Monday, and I've yet to get my roof fixed (roofers are in huge demand at the moment, and building materials are sold out).

Now there's an angle I never thought about - LOL.The wind is picking up again, and I came home early from work.
It's expected to get to 60mph+, but this time it's sub-zero, so we are expecting an accompanying 4" of snow.
This is unusual weather, even for us! -

There are plans to build several hundred of those, here.
THey would have been blown down last week!There's currently a public protest about the plans, since they are twice as high as the nearest comparable structure (a massive lighthouse to the North of the island).
It would be nice to get cheaper electricity, though
