Education is one of the few things that I feel I did alright in ... especially considering I was home-schooled (you know how those JWs are with the homeschooling!)

I have a BS in Education and an MS in Curriculum and Instruction. I am currently working on my Specialists degree in Instructional Technology! (a specialists degree is inbetween a masters and a doctorate).

Hey Min ... have you ever done a poll on how many have been home schooled? Would be interested to see ... I knew A LOT of witnesses who were. Most didn't finish, though.

3rd year of college now. Slow going since I work full-time and have a family. My son is in college now also - so I better hurry up or he'll pass me and graduate before I do!

How well educated am I? Not well enough yet.

Somewhere I have a scrap of paper which says I earned a bachelor of arts degree in 1986. But I continue to learn something new nearly every day.

(Total Amount of official time registered in schools) - (Sum of distractions) = answer

(2 years) - (spotty WT stuff) = gonna be a friggin professor!

(11 years) - (TV , games , WT stuff forced on me) = potentially mediocre

(14 years) - (, , more, mind numbing affects of BORG) = LESS than Joe Dub

I'll stop here before I embarass myself further.

Had just started my junior year in college when I also started to study the bible with JWs. It started to look like I would graduate just in time for Armageddon (vs 1975) so I dropped out of college in the middle of my junior year. I still have some trouble with this issue, but I don't let it get to me like it used to.

13 years later I went to a trade school, was in my mid-thirties, and got my associates degree in computer science.

Fast forward to today and I have also earned a degree, while "lurking" here on this board for 4 years, a degree in How to Think for Myself, and not be afraid anymore.

    Thank you all very much!
