I was 15 when they announced that I was bad assocaition.....Our congo was bad at looking for any reason to call a meeting...( Vickie Bore and I grew up in the same hall together....that should give you a idea of all the back stabbing and a$$ licking going on)

It did not help matters that I was living in a small town going to high school with a few Jw's as friends.

Not long after that, my folks d'ad themselfs and we all moved on...Left that small town and moved on to a big city where no one knew us.

This whole thread makes me want to throw up. How parents could subject their children to this kind of abuse is beyond me.

    Me too, Iforget, me too!

Scary to think that at one time we thought it was OK.

I was branded a bad associate at 17 by an elder in a nearby congregation for leading his son astray... the old 'point the finger at someone else' routine to take the attention away from his own son. He showed me his stash of porno's, and several packets of condoms, for 'just incase he got lucky'.... yet I was the bad associate!!

It's sickening to see some of the reports about children being da / df'd... during the time when they are still learning social skills and forming lifelong relationships.. cut em off!! Brilliant idea, NOT!

    Bull!

I was 10 when I was removed from school and taught at home although my younger sisters were still allowed to go

I was 14 when I was marked as a bad associate because I ran away from home.

I was only just 16 when I was thrown out of my house and soon after disfellowshipped in part for trying to kill myself because I couldnt cope with missing my parents and sisters.

I was 18 when I got disfellowshipped the second time. And 23 when I was last disfellowshipped.

Bearing in mind that I spent most of my time at home alone prior to disfellowshipping and got hardly any association with humans other than my immediate family and then when I was working for reinstatement, which took the best part of a year each time I lived like a recluse - attending meetings alone with no one speaking to me and going home to a tiny bedsit, alone - nmot able to ring anybody for a chat because I was disfellowshipped and could not associate with worldly people either - I think its amazing that I have any social skills at all.

This again shows that young people have no business whatsoever getting baptized as a witness. They really have no clue about the ramifications if they ever mess up, or decide to leave the religion.

These people are really crazy. An old friend of mine got df'ed while we were in 11th grade for swipping a few pop's out of a machine at school. To this day he is still ostracized.. what a heartless bunch of people, man
