Big T...I was also thinking about the Market Center Days Inn which is just down the street. I like the Bradford a lot...nice rooms and all, but as we won't be spending much time in the rooms we might get cheaper rates and it is also just a block away from the market Diner, where everyone went for breakfats last time. Will check on it today and get back to this thread.

And let's remember that Elsewhere's new house is . . . elsewhere, at least not in Dallas but a neighboring city, so we'll need plenty of transportation for our out-of-towners.

Insomniac, it will be wonderful to meet you!

w000t! Thanks Arrow for confirming that :))

    So, location: Elsewhere's cr1b.

BTW, I know I am pushing this a little early, but I am gutted my last plans fell through for Seattle, so I am trying to get it sorted to where I can book my time off work and flight early. :) Thanks all.

OK, so is it sort of official that the Bradford Suites is the place to be? Because I just got off the phone with another 'fester, who told me that it really is more fun if we all stay at the same place. Plus, we were talking about the two of us sharing a room to save some money, and if I do that, it's going to have to be at the same place as everybody else. As soon as I know for sure, I'm going to make my hotel reservations. I've already bought my airline tickets, so I guess there ain't no backing out now.

Perhaps you can get a deal closer to Elsewhere's home. The Bradford is a good 30+ miles from the party. Check the hotels near the south entrance of the airport. Say, the Embassy Suites in Irving? Here again, the breakfast buffet is included in the room rate. Nice place. Centrally located. Close to the party, etc.

    Just an idea.

Does anyone think we should have one hotel for out of town visitors? We've used the Bradford before.

    Tex -

Of course we should have one hotel for the out-of-towners. But, my point was that the hotel should be closer to the event itself. The Bradford is a good thirty miles from Elsewhere's new place. You'll need a great deal of transportation. If the hotel is closer to the event, the hotel shuttle might be of use. The Embassy Suites is about 5 - 10 miles (if that) and it has several of the same perks as the Bradford (breakfast buffet, etc). Another perk, is the hotel shuttle from the airport would be available to our out of town guests. Free ride kinda thing.

Also, being located in the middle of the DFW area, this would allow our Tarrant County group greater access to the fun.

    Just my thoughts

Hmmm.... How to get closer to the event?
