The buffet is a great idea -- I think that some of us are just a little skittish about that as the restaurant may require money down or a credit card to guarantee a certain number of people, and the person doing the guaranteeing can come up short on money at the end of the evening. That's what happened last year and some wonderful wonderful people helped to make up the difference but it would be better if we all paid our share and no more.

I'm aware of what happened Nina, but Sonny's went well and as our party at Dunston's did. If everyone brings CASH and pays for their buffet up front this won't be a problem. It would also be a good idea if everyone brought CASH for drinks so that we don't have a mess or misunderstanding when it comes to paying the bar tabs.

With me my interest in football comes at the last 5 minutes, so sitting and watching is not big on my list. Having a drink & talking is my preference.
I wasn't aware there was any 'shortage' on funds. People that have stuck their necks out ...need not be shy about letting everyone know. Divide the difference among everyone for a few bucks. Simple solution.
Buffet or just ordering is OK either way with us.

I bow to the stellar wisdom of our District Overbeer -- you're right, Dunston's went great, as far as I can recall after all that wine, as did Sonny Bryan's. Just tell us how much it will be and we'll bring the cash!

I'm calling Christie's tomorrow and getting the yes or no from them...if anything we can descend on the West End Pub or if there are those that really are that interested in the game, there are several other bars down there and we could just cruise around to . Will update on the morrow.

WILDFIRE HERE Did some one say a gathering of fine apostates......well this girl has been officially MARKED AS a WILD CHILD....sometimes marking is a good thing.....I had such a great time at the last event in Dallas...how could i stay away....( and i really miss the secret pinches of our District Overbeer....natch.... I believe I will be coming up with Country Gal and rooming with her and Insomniac....talk about perfect timing.....So let the festiviities begin......
