    # they are just going to say that it fufills bible prophecy. #

But, Wednesday, they already ARE claiming this foolishess!

They put it under the heading of how the "two-witness" knowledge in the (non-existant) pedophile problem, they claim it when the WTS-UN situation comes up, they claim it when they are confronted with anything Patriotic or Nationalistic, they claim it when someone points out how they ended up under the new "Donation Arrangement"--and how THAT actually came about (Jimmy Swaggart and his lawsuit), the list is endless.......so they ENJOY playing the "persecution card" at every possible turn.

So let'em! It carries very little weight with anyone NOT a JW, so let'em pi** and whine and moan to their martyr-syndrome's heart's content...who's listening?

Hehe hehe hehe har har harrrr har ....

Ok - let's take that statement further, make it broader if you like.

So any organization or media outlet that "you" regard as peddling "shit" and which attempts to influence others "you" would ban?

In that case, let us ban:

Islam / The Catholic Church / The Sun News Paper (UK) - or most tabloid rags worldwide / The houses of parliament / The pop industry / Celebrity culture / The porn industry / Marketing execs attached to major commercial corporate bodies / hmmm.... indeed, major commercial corporate bodies ...

    Ahem - joking aside.

Really not fair at all to ban the JWs movement in Moscow (unless they really do have the truth and it is part of God's plan of course).

The Romans tried to stamp out Christianity in it's various flavours and look what happened back then. It expanded in all directions. You try and ban Christianity in whatever form it takes and it will overcome oppression and conquer.

@ el blanko you are assuming that all opinions and movements should have equal rights because they are equally true. i disagree with that. in reality some things are good and valuable and some are horseshit. the JW believe belongs definately to the latter category. thus in my opinion banning detrimental movements is not a bad thing. it should be done in way more cases than it is. for me banning neo nazi movements is a good thing even if it limits your "freedom" to join them. banning smoking is a good thing. banning extreme religions is a good thing. and if it would be up to me i would ban christianity, islam etc. altogether and replace it with scientific education and ethics. secondly, you say because something didn't work in the past it will not work in the future either. making such an assumption is not justified. you compare apples with oranges by neglecting the vast differences in society methods etc. between today and 2000 years ago.

The point here is that the UN still claims it stands for freedom of religion and if the orthodox church of russia wants to ban other religions the UN will have to get involved with the issue . This is an interesting situation . The WTBTS just left the NGO status of the UN of it's own free will when it could have easily been removed and had charges of treason brought against it because of their slanderous remarks in the publications of the beast and the harlot . I still think it's wrong for government to interfere with the peaceful worship of religionists . I agree that the WTBTS does go over board with it's shunning policies and blood doctrines but I definately think the russian orthodox church is going way over board with with it's lust for power by dictating and doing the same thing the WTBTS does by condemning other sects . I think the russians wanted to get back to hard line communism to begin with but Bill Clinton interfered with the free elections and supported a move to remove the hard line commies that were elected from office by blowing up the congressional building with all the congress people refusing to leave . We are dealing with a 2 edged sword here .

And then every thing that members of this forum kicks and screams against it ends up rejoicing in, the exact same thing, except worse, not just shunning, but a total ban. Pat yourselves on the back, after all you'll claim that JWs love it, It fulfils some prophecy they see in themselves about persecution.

    What Bullshit.

Is this what happens? Is this how far you have come? Cry how hurt you are, but congratulate this step? I recognise its a few here, and the majority remain silent. Even still.

Is this how ex JWs behave? Wow, you've come far. It must be wonderful to be free.

When I was a JW, and someone "at the door" said something snotty, condescending and sarcastic......I used to pretend it went RIGHT over my head and I didn't "get it", so they wouldn't think it had penetrated........

Now, in answer to your "questions"......

    #1, Some of us

#2, Thank you, and it IS!
