Ok I shall do a little trip down memory lane,,,,,,,bare with me, it may make you feel sick, and suffer withdrawal type symptoms of your old JW days.

Note on page 92 of the Young People Ask Book.......

Now correct my failing and thankgoodness for that, memorys of all the Bible stories and all the explanations JW's give. But was not Tamar the daugther of David, that was raped by her half brother, because of her beauty and his lust for her, no doubt the girl had style as mentioned . She did nothing wrong as far as I have ever read. She had every right to dress up as she could afford it as she was the King's daughter........ But then they ask........".But is it wrong to be in style? Not necessarily" ( but JW speek,,,,,means probably so ) .

But why do they used her as an example?

Why not use the Shulamite maiden as an example? Some one who did not dress as fine and flashy as Tamar did. Makes me wonder if there is some reason they use her as an example. Is the WT trying to say if we do dress in fine clothing , even modest ones, but those with name brands,,,,,,,,might we be asking for something eles????? They don't come out and say things directly but makes ya wonder how easily our minds were controlled .

The book quotes that of Psychology Today,,,,,,,( doesnt stay how far back it was written etiher, no dates , years are sited) ....." A lowcut top, shorts , tight jeans, or no bra", would likely be interpertaed by males as a sexual come on. One young man confessed ( bet he was JW MS in the making) hehe, " I personally find it rather hard to think only pure thoughts about younger women wehn I see the way they dress".

The book goes on to stay.......".Modest attire allows people to appreciate your inner qualities."

At the end of the chapter , the WT gives these guideline (aks as RULES): Avoid faddish attire.......= no fun even in dress, no cute clothes, nothing too much in style.....errrrrrr!

Avoid clothes that stress sexuallity. OMG,,,,,,,this made me laugh. Ask any man, I just did...."do you find a woman in daisy dukes sexy."........"sure" he said." What about a woman in a turtle neck" , "sure" he said,,,,,,,,",what about a woman in overalls, and barefeet".........."sure" he said.

So no matter what a woman wears, she will either look sexy and cute for herself and have fun dressing , keeping up with the lastest styles,,,,cause as ladies we just like to, so it matters not what she wears.

I am not talking street walkers , crack head styles.........hehe,,,,talking about what is in......just to clarify that.

But a man will look at a woman in whatever she is wearing and will see her in a sexual way,,,,,,,,that is natural.......same goes for the men,,,,,,,jeans , a tshirt and they all look just fine!!! Bring tasteful , faddish, doesnt mean you are dressing like a slut to attract men!!!!!!!!! Being dressed modestly , might be your style .......who is to judge???? So really who is judging people on the outward apprerance and not that of the "inner person"???????? hint hint.......JW's.

This is just another ploy of the WT by means of their publications to tell us if we don't botton the top button on our plain blouse we are sinning by drawing attention to ourselves........BULL!!!!!!!!

So everyone , wear what you like, what is comfortable for you, and shake those old JW ways.

Really they don't,,,,,,,haha, I am too much of a klutz to walk around in those things , maybe it was the beer.....but probably not.

So Dede, shorts and tank tops are cool eh? That's all I ever wear in the summer...I think I have an appropriate frock for evening that would leave the elders speechless. Hmmm, no whore boots though. I must go shopping.

Well...we have a slight change of plans and maybe just a nice addition to what we already have planned. There is a pub around the corner from Sonny Bryan's BarBQ....Instead of having our chilli tasting there I thought we could go to the West End Pub instead of having to mess w/out chilli @ the restuarant...it is right next door to the Sixth Floor museum and only two blocks from our dining spot. I'm going to recon that today when i go talk to my friend and owner of the pub Bob. Recon!
