    So without 1914 or 1919, what exactly makes association with wt essential to salvation?

    JW teach that the wt is part of the Messianic kingdom aka God’s org and JW are the faithful and discreet slave. Obviously, Jesus is the final judge at the separation of sheep and goat but according to JW , JW is true Christianity.

    The Unification Church, (full name: Holy Spirit Association for the Unification of World Christianity) aka "Moonies" teaches a unique Christian theology.

    Name any religion that advertises that they are NOT the true religion.

    Only the Church of the SubGenius rejects absolute truth and embraces contradictions and paradoxes, which PROVES it is ABSOLUTE TRUTH.

    And in every trial each litigant presents his case; so it depends not on the presented claims and conclusions of the litigant but on the trier of facts to form an opinion. Of course if he is angry or offended with one of the litigant, he doesn’t care and doesn’t want it.

    I remember the moonies, and harykrishnas who had a dwelling close to wt back in the day. On his way to work, RW saw HK in their garb every morning. They also played the moonies film in the theater close to wt back then. I saw the film. We had a hk come to the hall once and he told us he was there because he wanted to invite one of our females to a leave feast. We kicked him out.

    @Nathan,

    I have attended dozens of churches over the past 20 years and never even remotely heard that any of them thought they are the one true religion.

    Only cults claim this.

    However I would like to take this opportunity to announce that I personally have founded the one true counter-cult ministry.

    @Fisherman

    JW teach that the wt is part of the Messianic kingdom

    They claim more than that. They teach that they are the visible part of the kingdom of God on earth, same at the Roman Catholic Church:

    Catholic Catechism # 882 The Pope, Bishop of Rome and Peter's successor, "is the perpetual and visible source and foundation of the unity both of the bishops and of the whole company of the faithful. For the Roman Pontiff, by reason of his office as Vicar of Christ, and as pastor of the entire Church has full, supreme, and universal power over the whole Church, a power which he can always exercise unhindered."

    Yeah, nothing special. It don’t matter to God what you do or what you believe. Anyone setting a standard is a cult.

    I don't see in scripture that people must find an organization to have God's approval or to be justified

    The requirements for forgiveness and imputation of righteousness are clear and they are repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

    There is nothing like; you must trust the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses to have God's approval.

    I found this question on line:

    Is it true that the governing body of Jehovah's Witnesses is the only way of salvation?

    The answer given was:

    If you don’t trust the Faithful Slave, you do not trust Jehovah. How can anyone be saved if they don’t trust Jehovah? Jehovah fully trusts the Faithful Slave, so shouldn’t you trust the Slave as well and receive the words of the Faithful Slave as the word of God.

    All the evidence in the Bible points to the selection of the Slave in 1919 when Joseph Rutherford and the directors of the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of Pennsylvania were serving in Brooklyn New York. These were fine anointed men, with humble hearts teaching wonderful truths out of the Bible. Yes, they made asses of themselves when they taught in the Millions Campaign that 1925 would mark the return of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and that in 1926 you could call Abraham in Jerusalem and ask for Granny to be raised. But, they, unlike Christendom admitted their mistake and revised their understanding.

    Similarly in 1968 when they taught young people that they would never grow old in this system and were encouraged to stay alive till 75 and now they are AARP card carrying senior citizens. But that mistake was because many Jehovah’s Witnesses blew these cautious predictions in their minds until they burst asunder. Then they were humbled and learned not to serve God for a date. That is when the true worshippers began making those neglected repairs on their homes and made dentist appointments again. But the point is, the Faithful Slave is not infallible like the Pope of Rome. Yet if you do not heed their message and refuse to trust them, you will be destroyed at Armageddon or sooner, during the Great Tribulation. Only those who trust in these princes have a scriptural hope of surviving the conclusion of this system of things…as the scriptures say.

    Unfortunately, Jesus can’t save you without them. So hurry and come to Jehovah’s organization for salvation.

    That's cuz there is no such scripture that directs people to some Borganization or 'slave class" for salvation.

    There is nothing like putting yourself in the place of God, going beyond the things written and misquoting scriptures,

    What evidence convinces you that Christ became invisibly present in 1914?

    Secondly, what evidence convinces you that Jesus selected Joseph Rutherford and the directors of the Watchtower Society to be his Faithful Slave in 1919?

    Thirdly, what evidence convinces you that accepting these dates and the events alledged to have transpired on these dates is necessary for salvation or even to be a Christian?

    Because there is none.

    No evidence that Christ became invisibly present in 1914.
