I hope you also had to put the damn dogs to sleep. You're a real dumbass and if I were your neighbor, trust me, you'd have far more than just complaints to deal with.
you deserve everything you got.

no wrongdoing on my part as I was not even present.
It's just stunning to me when dog owners to take this tact when their animals attack and nearly kill someone.
NewsFlash you knuckedragger......
You don't have to be present to be held liable if your animals get out of control and nearly kill someone.
@out4good
Correct. Owners of animals like dogs are liable if it injures or kills someone even if the owner is not present. Some people don't know this. People should know this before attaining dangerous animals.
Your dog grabs the ponytail of a girl when she bends over to pick up a ball.
I can't imagine it's simply a case of enthusiastic play, thinking her hair is a rope toy.
I gotta believe your DF had more to do with your indifference toward a young girl being attacked and deflecting blame than it had to do with you not being present when something bad happened. You indicate this by saying you were pissed about what the police did and you were "expecting" your wife to wait until you got home to introduce your killers to this girl. So you knew good-and-well that they could be a problem, but because you never had such a problem, you think everyone else is at fault. You even blame the girl for not getting up and running when most people know they cannot outrun a dog, and expect the owner (or the wife of the owner) to get their dog off of them.
"Hey brothers, I wasn't there. Besides, my killer dogs only attack other dogs. This is the first time with a human. It had to be her fault for having a ponytail, bending over, not being able to run away when the killers attacked. Plus, it's all blown out of proportion by the police. Even though she nearly died, it would be a civil matter and not a crime. Plus, my wife should have waited for me to be home because only I can handle the killers. At least she should know better."
I don't agree with a DF for that. The organization is indifferent to the lives of others and always passes the blame to others. You learned from them.
Here is a case of no wrongdoing on my part as I was not even present.
Here is why you are so completely and utterly wrong.
How far away do you think you need to be to not be responsible? Not touching the dog? 10 ft away? 50ft? A mile? It simply doesn't work.
The owner of any animal is responsible for it's actions, plain and simple. If you chose to keep dangerous animals and don't take precautions to protect people from them then you pay the price.
The way you absolve yourself of all responsibility and dismiss the suffering of that poor girl while trying to paint yourself as some sort of 'victim' for the WTS doing the right thing and kicking your ass out is frankly sickening.
I read your story in the other thread and also this one.
First of all I am glad that you found a way out of this cult and I wish you all the best with it.
I hope this young woman who was hurt recovered well. And I hope you learned something by all of this.
Especially through the responses here you see that it would be good not to put the blame on the victim but to accept some responsibility.
Anyway, we all have to learn things like this and this is not easy but essential.
He should be responsible for the damages his animals caused...but how is that a disfellowshipping offense? I think there must be more to the story, especially if he appealed and it wasn't overturned.
As to his callous attitude for the young lady today, that shows a personality trait often referred to colloquially as "douchebagginess."
If one of my dogs had even just broken the skin of someone else, I'd feel really bad about it. Yours took the scalp off a young woman, probably scarring her for life and almost killed her and you come here bitching about it? You're messed up!
No dog would have thought a pony tail was a chew toy, dogs are not that dumb. They are experts at reading body language, and know when they're inflicting pain. Especially as soon as the screaming started and the other owner tried to get the dog to stop. That dog was in full attack mode! and I hope it was destroyed. I also really hope you never own another dog, as you are not a responsible dog owner.
