Wow 1.4% growth! I can't recall off the top of my head what the percentage of growth was last year. Does anyone know? I believe it's lower this year compared to last year.

    Thanks for the information darkspilver!

Interesting. 284,000 baptized and average publishers only goes up by 110,000. What happened to everybody else? And it only took 7000 publisher hours per baptism. That's the equivalent of 3.5 people working full time jobs to get one person, and neither of those sets of numbers takes into account born ins.

    What a waste of time.

    Probably 80,000 -100,000 died.

The rest either were DF'ed, or became "inactive".

    What a waste of time.

    Yep!

Population growth is 1.12% so most of them are witness kids.

What about the rest ?? Why is Jah afraid to get reports about his most important work in these lands , if at all the preaching work is done.

    A few interesting trends:

Memorial attendance was up less than 1/2 of a percent. That's their big "showpiece" and is probably a pretty good indicator of potential growth. Just about anybody with even the smallest chance of ever becoming (or being reinstated as) a JW would attend. So their "pool of potential converts" is grinding to stagnation.

More publishers, more hours, but 40,000 fewer "Bible" studies. Again, anyone who is ever going to become a JW is at some point counted as a "Bible study" (yes, even kids of JWs). Another indicator that their pool is drying up.

And as others have noted, the ratio of [hours spent] / [number baptized] keeps growing. So more and more effort expended with diminishing results. Bad for morale.

Regular pioneers up by nearly 100,000 but auxiliary pioneers down by 20,000. There seems to be a more pronounced divide between the "true believers" and the "social JWs". Those who "auxiliary pioneer" are probably mostly somewhere between those 2 extremes, and now there are fewer of them.

Partakers are up again...but not to the degree in the last couple years.
