    I think if you check the DSM IV, you will find that this is now considered a 'catch-all' term in psychiatric circles, very general without a clear definition.

    Furthermore, 'soul murder' is a term that abuse survivors have coined and embraced and I will thank you not to judge MY EXPERIENCE. Some people feel like their souls were murdered, and it's a lifetime of work to resurrect it! So don't compare your mom's experience to mine. thanks :)
