  I really don't think you or I are in a position in which we could it judge God as unfair. For example, do you know what "ultimate reality" is Alan? I'm sure you know what the anthropic principle is, could you design a universe that manifests anthropic principle like ours? Gods intelligence and justice is far greater than anything we humans have, we have a measure of a wisdom, that is very small comparison to that of the Creator.

  And you know what MOREOVER to me the problem is that THERE IS NO LOVE IN THIS BOOK SO EVEN IT IF WAS THE BOOK OF GOD I just can't love this GOD.

  Well, you may not see the love in the Bible because you already have it in your mind, that God is not loving.

  Maybe you're too quick to judge God.

  Maybe when you read something in the Bible, your mind homes in on things that,, at first glance may seem to appear that God is acting unlovingly.

  Maybe your definition of love may not take into consideration,, a long-term view,, and is too preoccupied with the present, and what feels good, and so cannot grasp the deeper meaning of love. Like the little child, that feels his mother or father doesn't love them, because they didn't get what they wanted, or because they were disciplined, so they believed in their mind, that their parents that don't love them. When in reality, the parent really does love them, and knows it's not good to indulge the child everything wants, or that to withhold disciplined when the child is heading a dangerous direction.

  You're still skirting the point, frankiespeakin. I guess I'll have to simplify it to where you can understand it and be hard put not to get the point.

  You know I'm so dense when it come to these thing, could please break it down for me, so that in my simple little mind I can grasp it, (smile). It amazes me that he can put up with me.(smile)

  Suppose that I as a father told my five year old daughter, "See that cookie jar on top of the refrigerator? If you can get to it, you can eat all the cookies." I don't expect that she'll be able to figure out how to do it, and I really don't want her to eat the cookies, but she's been pestering me and I'm tired of it. Turns out she's a lot more resourceful than I gave her credit for. She immediately starts trying to figure a way to get the cookies. She's much too short to reach, and jumping doesn't work. So she puts a chair in the right spot, and then puts a big cardboard box on the chair, and climbs up. She's just about to touch the cookie jar when I walk in the room and see it. So I kick the chair out from under her and she falls flat on the floor. Now, frankiespeakin, was I fair? Please explain why or why not.

  Ummm, I think you were fair, did I get it right????? why? Because you said "If she can get to it" and you didn't qualify it with any other statements like "and Daddy can't kick the chair out from underneath you" So you left yourself an option and you used it. I hope she did get hurt!!! You are teaching you daughter a very important lesson,,, I might add, "Alway read the fine print" and "don't mess with dad".

  Then relate this to my point about God's throwing a monkey wrench into human affairs. If you can't explain these things, say so and I'll do it for you. AlanF

  Allegedly, the only thing that God wrote got broken by Moses.

  Setting aside certain preconceptions, if parts of the book are to be believed and God is like Jesus, what kind of a God would THAT represent to you?
