Ok I am changing my answer because I am a dullard and totally read the question wrong.

It was years that I had doubts. Starting on and from the age of 12, becoming stronger when I was 16, and unbearable around 20.

I had various doubts for years, even as a jw child.

And I'm still not free yet...................

Add to that guilt for having doubts.

Then fataIism took over and I gave up and figured I'd rather just die at Armageddon than go along with the WT crap.

Now I'm happy and free and going to die anyway but not that bothered about it! Amazing how when I thought I had a hope (resurrection) I was scared of dying. Now that I don't have that hope, I'm not afraid of dying.

Once I read CoC, it was only minutes that I mentally left. Planning the fading, well that took a couple of years and they still came after us. Oh well. *banging head on monitor mumbling "why didn't I read CoC when it came out!* DOH!
