@jookbeard you're not conceding though that this is an undertaking of larger proportions than say publishing on Amazon. That is my point. No expert can do it in an evening either.

There's far more involved than I think you're willing to admit.

I get that everyone is bent that it hasn't happened yet, however that has no bearing on the actual requirements of the task at hand. They are what they are and they take time.

Am I correct in assuming that many Koreans also have some English as a second language? If so, there is bound to be a lot of non-copyrighted ex-JW literature that could be translated into Korean.

While I understand the desire to publish Crisis of Conscience in Korean, copyright clearance appears to have been overlooked - or worse, trivialized. Copyright is copyright - regardless of what individuals may think of the copyright holder.

To Simon and other who worry...

I've consulted with Deborah by mails also and I have korean lawyers who let us go forward.

I've always think and think again what Simon wrote someday :

I translated it into Korean many years ago

"Becoming an ExJW should be a process, a stage, and not the final destination that some people make it. We should all aim to become Ex-Ex-JWs and leave everything to do with the WTS behind us. Some will find that easier than others and some have to stick around longer because of friends and family but I think it should be our goal."

    . . .

Of course not everyone in 'apostatesville' is nice or friendly. We have come across a few people who have been so obsessed with fighting the WTS for so long that it seems that they have even forgotten what they are fighting about. They are no concerned with helping people but just getting revenge for their own bruised egos. All they know how to do now is fight and it has almost become a hobby to them. They stopped fighting the WTS a long time ago and have become charicatures of the apostates that the WTS warns it's members about.

I don't intend to become like that. There is no point dedicating your life to hurting the WTS - if you do, it means that they are still hurting you, still influencing your life and still have power over you. It's OK to stick around to get some answers or to do something to help others but if people are replacing the WTS with AntiWTS then I think there is something wrong. You have to let it go and leave it behind and live a happy life. That is and always will be the best revenge on the WTS.

Although it would be interesting to read the 2008 additions, they are not important. The older versions hold their own worth by tenfold. It's such a shame the book is still not readily available but is now even more difficult to access. The Watchtower must be dancing for joy whilst many of us are saddened because we know it's value in helping others.

Dumbest statement I've read on this topic. If the guy worked on revisions there must have been a reason. Perhaps you were a GB member and have special insight he didn't.

KateWild I wouldn't bother until 06/052017, because nothing is going to happen in the meantime,

Hadriel when someone makes a subjective opinion on this subject which we all have a right to do, this just an internet forum you seem very quick to jump on people with insults and name calling, something I've come to expect from you and all the more fuel to the jw's who could be lurking here laughing at us and reinforcing the their views on us, why dont you calm down?

I applaud the Korean translation effort. Good work!

Having helped with the Spanish translation of the then latest English Edition of CoC--given chapters to translate by Ray F. and then being asked to proof-read, and submit corrections--I can tell you that putting together a translation of a book consisting of several hundred pages, wasn't an easy task.

At least make the book available in digital format for Kindle's through Amazon.com or e-readers through Barnes and Noble. That could be accomplished in little time, with little money put forward, and the CRH would start seeing money come in as the digital sales start happening.
