Here's a list of things the WT is asking you to give up:

    1. Time
    2. Money
    3. College
    4. Ambitions
    5. Intellectual honesty
    6. Personal freedom
    7. Legal and physical freedom, as in conscientious objection
    8. Life and health, as in cases where blood transfusions are needed

Here's why they say, "Don't give up":

    1. They need money. Any other reason comes down to a need for money.

And that's just not a fair shake. No thanks.

Watch Tower has been relying on an infusion of youth for as long

as I can remember (and that's a long time)

I've seen a lot of folks forgotten in Seniors' Homes

No Elder's (ironic) visits as time can't be counted,

I don't remember any CO visit where bros were encouraged to visit the elderly

It's been stated "any society is judged by how it treats it's most vulnerable

    members"

I judge "The Society" as being sick

Encourage the young lemmings to "Not Give Up"

That's the way it's always been

    :(

The abbreviation "Don't" is slovenly, poor English

You are too formal, while the Watchtower is becoming more informal to appeal to the new generations.

The abbreviation fits the sentence and the theme quite well. Lighten up! Languages evolve. "Slovenly" and "proper" are relative.

I dread having to go but I know I must attend for my family. I do not look forward to this. Perhaps I will bring an alcoholic beverage and walk around the whole time.

Toes Up says ..... "The theme sounds a little bit desperate!"

Could it be to the fact that the GB members are being pressed to liquidate the organization's past doctrines such as 1914, This Generation,, Mankind Living in The End Times ?

Or is it to the fact that in the US where the JWS/WTS is headquartered there was a significant drop in people getting baptized ?

Or the 2016 summer assembly “Remain Loyal to Jehovah”,

.... " We better crank up the fear mongering gentlemen or we are going to lose members "

" Should we do the Armageddon soon proclamation or The Great Tribulation soon ? "

I'm ready to give up. We were told we have to drive 490 miles from Regina, Sask. to Edmonton, Alberta for our convention because the meeting is special which I doubt. Any rank and file members south of Regina have to attend Calgary, Alberta. There are no regional conventions being held in Saskatchewan this year. I'm not sure what the reason the WT$ set it up like this. Is this happening in other regions?

    Too late GB, Too late!

Most gave up a long time ago and are simply going through the motions pretending for the sake of family or a social circle!
