Bethelites got (get?) billed every month for a variety of things. Mostly in my case, phone calls. The ac was another one they tried to get me for.

That just seems utterly ridiculous! I mean you already work for nothing. Then you're sent a bill every month for calling family or a/c . It seems more like sea org all the time.

It was ridiculous and it did piss me off. Bethel was full of jokes about cheap the gb were.

We stayed in the Bossert and had the same noisy window a/c's. As we were on the second floor the garbage trucks would drive you crazy at night. The positive thing was we had the liquor store very close on Montague street. The times I met Loss was always there in that store buying schnapps.
