Why disfellowship must be eliminated for the survival of the WT itself

It is absolutely the case that young ones just aren’t getting baptised in the numbers they used to. As the older ones die off the numbers will fall dramatically in years to come.

So many brought up in the truth just are not getting baptised. They don’t necessarily leave yet, there are people in their 20s who still come to meetings and even give assignments occasionally. They were brought up in the truth but didn’t get baptised.

They are too frightened to get baptised for fear of being shunned. But as long as not baptised then no shunned possibility even if they have sex or something, which most are doing let’s be honest.

Those teenagers who did get baptised really regret it now.

JWs are indeed in steep decline. In the 80’s and 90’s, the KHs were bursting and new ones were being built at breakneck pace.

Now WTC is selling KHs as quickly as the Org and the market will bear. The appraisals that occurred a few years ago laid the groundwork for more selling, and collateralizing the rest for much needed cash.

As intra-meeting photos indicate, attendance is DISMAL. The ones on ZOOM are not engaged as testified in many social media posts. ZOOM attendance is usually a precursor to fading.

Recent changes are also indicative of decline as the GB is softening requirements as an effort to retain publishers.

As Vidiot commented, WTC is known to lie blatantly. They have no shame. At a grass roots level, Secretaries are taking liberties to continue counting pubs as pubs. The future of their KH depends on the numbers.

Lets be honest: Watchtower is not selling KHs because the numbers are flat. They are selling because the numbers are declining. Now there is talk of the CO arrangement changing to local elders with no stipend. Does anyone actually think what is happening in the Org indicates strength?? If so, I have Sears stock you might be interested in.

Exact. We even don't need numbers to see the disaster coming to it, it's just interpret the WT actions. The boat is sinking and they are trying to remove the water with a mug (no time report, allow beards, etc). Maybe more big changes like relaxation of commemorative dates, blood and finally disfellowshipping, could keep some young people and attract new people.. Maybe... They have no alternative but to try. 2024/25 will be years of big changes...

While I'm fully away of the segment of mankind who likes to draw attention to their own doomsday predictions (whether its climate change, global economics or the WBTS), I'm just trying to draw peoples attention to a inescapable timetable derived from well established modeling.

That being said, the Governing Body does not have a ten or twenty year window of opportunity to turn things around. No ... they must do things now. This is because generations of people do not die off gradually in a linear manner, they are call population cliffs for a reason. And in our case, as the greatest bulk of the Brotherhood are already in their latter middle-ages, they will ALL be dead or in nursing homes in 10 years time. Doubt what I'm saying ... then just study this topic by looking at Japan. And then think of the taxation issues (by that I mean the taxation of manpower and cash) the Governing Body will have to deal with, when the Brotherhood is halved.

And you can't just say ... oh well, 8 million Brothers divided by 2 equals 4 million, that's not too bad ... no, it just doesn't work like that in real life. Other biological, psychological and economic tipping points come into play, that generate their own addition downward pressures.

Yeh ... all negative stuff for sure. And while there maybe a little time left for the Governing Body to do something, I'm not convinced that they is smart enough or brave enough, to work it out.

A message to the rank and file:

No one can leave Jehovah's Witnesses with their reputation intact.

Once a Jehovah's Witness, you had better stay a Jehovah's Witness or you will lose your family and friends and be shunned till your death unless you come crawling back to the organization pretending you believe their nonsense again.

Worldly governments are being alerted to this fact and will turn on the organization for it's uncharitable treatment of former members and withdraw financial support and taxation benefits.

And the GB have the nerve to call this bullying behavior a loving provision. Even the world, every democratic society can see the shunning of former members as cruelty.

Jehovah's Witnesses, this controlling behavior will come to an end real soon. The faithful slave will suddenly get new light from Jehovah in the very near future telling you not to shun people who leave the religion since they are no longer viewed as “Christians” and Christians are not instructed to shun non-Christians.

And of course there will be no apologies made

You may well be right Van, but can you stop at that and not give the Org. any more ideas please ?

By the way, if they do exactly as you say, surely that makes you their Spirit Guide ? LOL

To stop the shunning would mean getting sued out of existence. Just not an economically viable option.
