There was a satirical article saying that Sharia law had been implemented in Deerborn, but you know that hasn't actually happened, right?

    So there's talk? Wow.

    I meant actual proof.

This was a rumor. Again, I am looking for actual proof, not internet rumor.

Proof would be a major mews source, naming an actual city where Sharia law was actually implemented.

There has been much global debate on Sharia Law and how Muslims are trying to implement said law into governments, such as the United States.
One of the rumors was that the the first Sharia Law Court had opened in Irving, approved by City government. However, Mayor Van Duyne has proven the rumor false, who took to social media to let residents know the truth.
Post by Beth Van Duyne on her facebook account:
Sharia Law Court was NOT approved or enacted by the City of Irving. Recently, there have been rumors suggesting that the City of Irving has somehow condoned, approved or enacted the implementation of a Sharia Law Court in our City. Let me be clear, neither the City of Irving, our elected officials or city staff have anything to do with the decision of the mosque that has been identified as starting a Sharia Court.
As Mayor of the City of Irving, I took an oath to uphold the laws of the State of Texas and the Constitution of the United States. I respect the freedoms guaranteed under the First Amendment and believe that protecting fundamental constitutional rights and ensuring that individual rights are not violated or denied is essential.
Currently, Texas Supreme Court precedent does not allow the application of foreign law that violates public policy, statutory, or federal laws. However, now that this issue has emerged in our community, I am working with our State Representatives on legislation to clarify and strengthen existing prohibitions on the application of foreign law in violation of constitutional or statutory rights.
American citizens need to remember that their rights are guaranteed by the Constitution and I believe no one should subjugate themselves to anything less. While I am working to better understand how this “court” will function and whom will be subject to its decisions, please know if it is determined that there are violations of basic rights occurring, I will not stand idle and will fight with every fiber of my being against this action. Our nation cannot be so overly sensitive in defending other cultures that we stop protecting our own. The American Constitution and our guaranteed rights reigns supreme in our nation and may that ever be the case.

Passing a law against Sharia Law is a PR stunt, probably to raise money for re-election. Might as well pass a law making it illegal to grow wings and fly.

I didn't say is was implemented I said it is coming. "Sharia law is alive and well in

the UK as investigation uncovers shocking details," soon to be aired here.

What issue was the Mayor of the city of Irving referring too, "however, now that this issue

has emerged in our community" from her Facebook account???

I see all of this stuff floating around the internet, but like LisaRose says, it's rumor.

Irving is in Texas. It sits between Dallas and Fort Worth. Does anybody think that Texans are going to do a gimmie to the Muslims and give them authority?

C'mon people. Look at these things. Do they make sense? If you read them and your blood boils because it's so outrageous, that's a good clue. Look it up. It's probably fake. It's like the idiot who says Obama founded Isis. We can talk about whether it was a good idea to pull troops out of Iraq when he did (something that same idiot was in favor of), but founding Isis? Really? Isn't that a bit over-the-top? So look these things up. Fact-check.

Again, where is the proof that it is coming? You seem to be basing it on nothing more than rumor and paranoia.

And this is the Islamic Court the mayor of Irving was fighting against. If you read the own site, they are wanting to establish it around Irving and then spread all over the USA.

They want to have power over matters involving Muslims. Just like the JW and elder meetings, you know how fair it will be to the women who are muslims and forced to remain. The mayor of irving was fighting for those women as well. Being a muslim isn't a choice for all of them.
