How many congregations have disappeared in the last yr?

Number of congregations have increased by 675, out of which 300 have increased in India.

The number of baptisms are not a clear indicator. In many countries, like India, baptisms were cancelled altogether since March 2020. No baptisms were allowed by the branch in red and green -zone covid areas.

Memoril figures suffered greatly in areas where people from villages (like India) couldn't attend the digital session, neither was there any broadcast.

And yet they've reported the highest number of 'partakers' since 1951.

Can someone please clarify how many 'partakers' there are now. I somehow missed it.

    21,182.

It is on their 'Grand Totals' page, which is separate to the countries list on the website. It is on page 2 of the PDF version of the 2020 Service Report.

The number of partakers won't get impacted by COVID. They are the members of the congregation, who have been attending through zoom, and would obviously attend the memorial. Some may have thought that covid is taking them to end and thus impacted their emotional closeness to be in heaven.

Rest all figures, like bible studies, hours, memorial attendance, are dependent on how local authorities dictate the laws during covid.

True, but that's not really the point. The number or 'partakers' is 'meant' to be decreasing irrespective of COVID.

Thats old light Jeffro. This the new light:

During the last days, Jehovah has continued to select those who will make up the 144,000.[2] If he chooses to wait until late into that period to select some for that privilege, who are we to question his wisdom? (Isa. 45:9; Dan. 4:35; read Romans 9:11, 16.) - w2016-01, pg 20, 21

    😂🤣😂😆

It does indeed attempt to justify the continued increase (which resulted in a subsequent 18.7% increase in partakers in that year). However, I do not believe it was their intent to suggest that the number should be increasing beyond trying to justify the increase observed. For example, the same article does once again suggest that the increase in partakers could be because "Others may have mental or emotional problems that lead them to believe that they will rule with Christ in heaven".

Interesting to see the numbers between the memorial attendance and active publishers is diverging. Since a lot of people that come to these are inactive/irregular (the number of "worldly people" per congregation are counted on one hand), this shows a growing number of people that have 'given up', it seems to be ~2:1 and only do this as a church/family obligation.
