Sailaway: Yes I noticed that, telling elders to stay off social media is quite a blatant use of mind control. I hope its one step too far for some people.

Just a point to note, in this cong and others nearby, there are quite a few who are awake but locked in because of spouses. Posts like these can encorage them to talk to others and not be alone. Priceless!

Thanks for posting the link to the video. While I am enjoying Cedar's commentary, I hope the talk will be posted in its entirety without interruption. So far, I learned that ...

    Apostate = Judas

Apostasy = Gangrene = Slow Death

They really don't like it when people leave, do they! Yikes!

It occurs to me, if elders are banned from Facebook, but regular JWs are on Facebook - that’s an opportunity for more freedom for ordinary JWs away from monitoring by elders. Have they thought this through?

That's what JW wives are for.

J W likes to project the view that "nasty things" leap at you if you surf the net.. porn, apostasy etc . My experience is that if you want it you have to look for it ( o k, one may get suggestive ads for foreign brides , but that's no worse than a tabloid newspaper )

If dubs are finding anti J W stuff it is because they are curious and want to read it....the same as I once did after my faith in WTS had evaporated

Re Cedars video: Sorry, the man smacks of a narcissist. I've met a few and I recognise the attention seeking syndrome.

However you feel sbout someone isnt relevant. He could be a narcissist.

At the same time, he has just helped 4 families we were close to 10 years ago, leave the org through his videos. We have now reconnected with ones we thought were lost.

    Job well done.

snugglebunny; your comment is totally irrelevant and if anything will give Cedars more publicity, I doubt you know nothing about him.

Contrary to some, I like the work of John Cedars. He does a lot to debunk the WTS and I support those aims. This particular video would have been better to have just heard the complete talk. The shortcomings of it speak for themselves. But that's just my view

    All power to Cedar's elbow!

We should be talking about the massive exit "up North" ., Those Geordies always did have common sense.

anything that gets jobos to wake up and get out of the watchtower corporation is good. I have no axe to grind with Lloyd. His style is 'catch wasp with honey not vinegar'. No axe to grind with Kim and Mikey. Their style is shouty shouty jesus bible. Not my thing but entertaining to watch. No axe to grind with whatever works. Each individual in the jobos is different and responds accordingly.

Personally, I'm not one to crash Kingdom halls. It reminds me of the protesters outside a$$emb£ies, back in the 70's, we thought they were bonkers.

I'm not one to shout about Jesus or take scriptures out of context (jobo stylee), to 'prove' the corporation wrong. I wince when I see folk using the bible as if the watchtower is even remotely prophesied in it's remit. You know, like those goat herders and magic mushroom eaters saw the corporation in vision. Not my style. Oh, no, no, no.

My strategy is ironic humour. It probably doesn't work on anyone but hey ho.If I get one person to wake up it'll have been worth it. At least I can unwitness. Not that non jobos are remotely interested.....................

    Rant over.
