Auntie M: what a fright that must have been with your youngest.

ABO incompatibility, is a SERIOUS matter. I am so glad to read that the 'little fellow' fought his way back from what could have been a tragic situation.

Good to know our ABO, even if YOU never need blood etc., good to know for reference. It makes the study of genetics, really interesting.

My parents would never tell my my blood type; isn't that wierd? It wasn't till after I moved out and got my own family doctor that I asked him what my bloodtype is. O+

    Scully,

Not to argue with you, you are a nurse afterall and I never finished pre-med, but I seem to recall from anatomy/physiology that AB is the universal donor. O is the universal recipient. Am I just confused? Probably. But what else is new, eh?

Okay, I couldn't find my a&p cd. So, I went on line. I did get confused. Please forgive me Scully, it has been years since I was in college.

the child is always born with the father's blood type

I don't understand. Mine is O positive. Husband is A positive. Two of the kids have my blood type, and the others have his.

I could be wrong Mulan. That's what someone told me. All my siblings and I have the same type as far as I know.
