Agreed. Gun Violence would plummet if drugs were legalized and taxed (and all the illicit profit disapeared). I find it strange that the Left hates guns but wants drugs to be legal while the Right hates drugs and wants guns to stay legal. If they both would just hold hands everyone would be happy and we could get rid of all these stupid gangs and organized crime along with the murder that goes with it.

I've been thinking about this issue for a few days now. Despite what I said previously, I am starting to wonder if it would be a good idea to have guns here.
The former mayor of NY was on the TV the other day and stated that getting the guns off the streets drastically reduced the crimes in the city. Even legal guns - makes it easier for criminals to get hold of a weapon. Here in the UK the criminal does not expect someone to have a gun in their home so doesn't see a need to have one himself....whereas if guns were in peoples homes, burglars would also carry a gun.
