scoot...it would have to be a really big room, not to mention noise and attention, versus a public place where it is to be expected...not only is it 40 + users, but additional family members, friends, etc...it would have to be many rooms...and not really open and comfortable enough for evryone I don't think. If however there is a brave soul willing to arrange such a thing then I'm all for it.

Well wouldn't they have a conference room or something similar? Or we could find an empty Kingdom Hall, after all it would be Saturday night. We could get a caterer to provide the buffet. I don't know how much it would cost, but at least we would be self-contained.

I find that I love all movies set back in time, I guess I am have cabin fever so bad this winter, I watch more movies, and there have been some great old movies I never got to watch as a JW because never seemed to have the time. Well baby, I am making up for lost time now.
Big T...unfortunately that requires several forms of money transactions like deposits, rental fees, paying the caterer ahead of time for deposit or whole amount for food, cleanup, which for 50 plus people..it cuts down on our fun time considerably...that requires time to arrange and negotiation time to find the best deal...we could do that, but it seems like more worries and less time for everyone's fun to me. In this case anyway. Just my 2 pesos...

XW... can you check on the cost of a banquet room with a cash bar at the hotel? With that, and pizza or 6 foot subs delivered, I am curious of the cost per head there vs going to a restraunt. At 10-15$$ per head, it may be able to be done. I am willing to spring for the deposit, depending on how much.

huh???? I just read back there The only thing I have to do with this is to hook some folks up with the link for cheaper prices on rooms at the brothel hotel. Oh that, and the "Chief Chick At Arms" designation our Overbeer gave me but he hasn't told me yet what my duties are in that role. I'm just hoping it doesn't involve wearing a hanky on my head !!
Pizza? Geez- you are easy to please eh? I think it would be cool if it would work out that way to have a buffet of some kind but pizza? You need to get out more often . But, great idea if you are willing to spring for a deposit for something like that- let Travis know. I'd be willing to do the same with part of it if that is what he decides to do. We're in good hands there !!!
