just because two people pop up on this Board with similarly clear thinking, rational views, it surely cannot mean they are one and the same person ?

Everyone knows wimmins be shoppin and don't know how to use logic or maths and stuff.

I can imagine that is the thinking of "Fisherman" based upon his Bible Moral Code, which is totally misogynistic.

Any Moral guidance found in the Bible is simply not good enough for the 21st Century.

We rationalist/humanists have gone way beyond what the Bible advocates in doing what is right.

    Phizzy,

Are you honestly suggesting that the Golden Rule and Good Samaritan and Prodigal Son morality has no place in the 21st Century?

Or the total equality of Galatians 3:28?

It's more interesting why you think 1) those morals are unique to the Bible 2) your wishes trump others (golden rule) or 3) that children should be rewarded with comfort and ease for wasting their life and money.
Or the total equality of Galatians 3:28?

That scripture doesn't preach total equality.

That morality is not exclusive to Christianity. The Bible does not have a monopoly on morality.

Also, if you can pick and choose through the Bible, a book that as a whole is morally bankrupt, to put forth the premise that it is a source of good morals, then can't you do the same with Mein Kampf? I'm sure there may be one or two things in Mein Kampf that amounts to common sense and we can all agree on. But does that mean that the overall message of Mein Kampf is positive and moral, just because of a couple of passages?

The bible is either true or it is not. There cannot be some strange middle ground. If God is like a man that can make errors in his writings

    I. Define Bible: Original text, Copy of Text, Bible Translation

II. Define Error: Error of Fact, Scrivener Error, Translation Error, Interpretation Error

Comparison between different versions of ancient Bible manuscripts show mismatches.

Either God is the author of the Bible or He is not.

Yahweh is not the author of the bible just as Allah is not the author of the Quran or the other gods in ancient times who made pictographs of images on temples.

Spiritualism is a man made idealogical concept, which developed mostly out of human ignorance.

Unless, of course, we are the same person and just a proxy to post from different continents depending upon which account is being used.-Vivian

    Again, then: Cofty aka Vivian?

And I am not the only poster on this Forum that has stated this suspicion. And not because of any similarities in thinking. Cofty's posts are logical. Vivian's post are remarks, deliberately disruptive, obfuscating, assertive, divertive, as if a device by another poster to MANipulate the thread.
