any "christian" religion is under obligation to reject sexual conduct not approved by the Buble. instead of trying to live a double life, or continuing to be crushed because of your sexual orientation, just reject religion. You don't have to reject God, but you do have to reject the Bible. So, do it. Be gay. Enjoy it. Dare anyone to judge you. But use your thinking head and reject religion.

Thank you for sharing your story with us, I can't even begin to imagine what you have been through. There are many out there who have been through the same thing as you. One FB site Ex-Jehovah's Witness Recovery Group 3 has some gay members on there and they can also direct you to sites that might offer you more help.

My sister is gay and we have had many conversations about what she has been through even though she was never a JW. She lives a very fulfilling life and is very happy. I would suggest you find a support group and seek a therapist to help you get stronger so you can live a happy life. From what I gather you are still young so you have a wonderful life ahead if you can get the help you need. You have been abused long enough, there are great people out there who don't care if you are gay or straight who will love you and want to be with you. Hang in there.

Isn't it typical of this fork-tongued bunch:

elders or anyone else are forbidden to warn parents in the Congo about a pedometer in their midst, but they will go around whispering to grown men to avoid brother so-and-so cos he is gay and wants to get into your (tight) pants.

I am pained to read what you experienced, it is a monstrous corporation built on judgmental ignorance.

I am glad you are free of it, you deserve it.

p.s. great post, I had no idea what young gay people went through and it was very enlightening though totally shameful.

    Thanks truthwillsetyoufree.

I 100% understand what you were going through and an elder in my cong told me a sister was a lesbian. They keep nothing private or confidential.

Yes, my desires for certain men are 100% natural to me. I am not sexually interested in women, never have been.

I especially appreciate your brining out point 3. It is not just abstaining from sex as a single heterosexual person could do. The heterosexual can find a women he loves and have a happy life as you mentioned.

I cannot- I am a virgin, am alone and will always be alone never knowing what it is like to love someone and have them love me in return.

    Thanks for your post!

2 - you have to be fixed in paradise because youre obviously very abnormal

Who could look forward to the "New System" if it meant they were going to have their sexuality changed? A gay person probably wouldn't want to be made "straight" anymore than a "straight" person would want to be made gay.

Who could look forward to the "New System" if it meant they were going to have their sexuality changed?

That's an excellent point. I hadn't thought about it that way before.

As a straight man, it'd be like having the following exchange: "Hey, can't you just wait for the new system when you will finally be attracted to men and be able to have sex with them?" " thanks. Doesn't sound like any new system I would want to be a part of."

Why should the reaction be any different for gay men? Why would they look forward to having their own natual desires changed?

This is one of the major proofs that the Witnesses don't have the truth (to me at least). There is no place for gay people. There really isn't. The truth should have a place for everyone.

My son wasa born-in tried praying, pioneering and even married. in his 20s he met a gay man he was very attracted to he chose togo to the elders to da but he was so well known they chose to df him. The story today is he and this gay man will soon be celebrating 20 years together. My son says he is so much happier out and gay.
