    So?

Though I think Catholics believe it is of a spiritual nature. I'm not catholic, so I can't be sure. Burns explained the catholic belief on 'transubstantiation' to me once, but that was some time ago.

(But don't confuse spiritual with figurative/metaphorical.)

Christ IS the life. One must feed on Him (the Spirit), to have life in yourself, because HE is in you.

(I don't say 'so' to be rude, just so you know, Designs... I said 'so' because I don't see Christ through religion of any denomination, so it doesn't matter what they teach... it matters what HE teaches; just as I don't see God through them either; but see God through Christ)

"Good news is not about judgment.

Good news is about LIFE. " ~~ Tec

Religion is "DO" Christianity (the gospel) is "DONE"

Good news of the kingdom was only mentioned 8 times in the bible but the good news about christ is mentioned over 100

    1 Corinthians 15: 1&3
Now I would remind you, brothers,[a] of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand

3 For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures

    Galatians 1:8

    New International Version (NIV)

8 But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse!

1 Cor.15: 1-3 shows Paul teaching the opposite of what Judaism teaches about personal responsibility- substitutional sacrifice. In Judaism each person stands before God alone and must make amends (there is no Origianal Adamic Sin in Judaism therefore no Jesus dying for you). A person is said , in the Haggadah among other Jewish writings, to pass by their common ancestor Adam, who sites before God, and is welcomed into Gan Eden having repented for their sins alone.

All of Acts 10, and it continues to Acts 11: 1-18

    MP:

Thanks. It says Peter preached to Cornelius, thats one man, nowhere does he preach to other gentiles. C could be jewish given he lived in Judea, plus he was a Centurion which also means he demanded a level of respect. peter couldnt be rude to a man like that.

After all would you be rude to a Centurion in those days or would you be peaceful in his presence ?

    ACTS

1:19 Now they which were scattered abroad upon the persecution that arose about Stephen travelled as far as Phenice, and Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word to none but unto the Jews only.

Why did you omit telling us about 19 where it says they only preached to jews ?

How dishonest to skip that bit because it shows what i said to be true and your example of Cornelius is an exception for the reasons such as the ones i give above.

TEC, you shouldnt lie like this and hide relevant info like this because its dishonest and yet again you get caught out lying.

Jesus was a false prophet. He told men to abandon their wives, children and businesses to go preaching nonsense about his immediate parousia, and pretending to expel something called "demons" from epileptics.

He was a cult leader, and it's lunacy that people are still hanging on his false promises.

He did not ask us he asked the 1st century believers and he told them they owuld not finish going through all the cities of Israel before the son of man comes in his Kingodm. Also he told them in the 1st cnetury some of them would still be alive when he come son the clouds in power and glory. Unless we all rpeach in Israel then we have aproblem aobut the hundreds of years of false teachings. Because the matthew prohecies were about the destruction of jerusalem in 70 ad, which in fact jw have just acknowledged in their july watchtower. THe fleshly is finsihed and the new arrangmeent is spiritual. The true place of worship is not made with human hands it is spiritual cannot be seen or touched and is no part of this world. All earthly represtentations of it are counterfeit. He rules as king in his kingdom with his elect form the 1st centruy he came back for them .He promised them he would and he did.

I didn't lie mP. Read the WHOLE passage in Acts 10, and part of Acts 11.

They originally preached only to the Jews... until they were taught and shown otherwise by Christ.... who sent Peter to Cornelius, and told Peter in a vision that he was not to call the Gentiles unclean, and then showed Peter by giving holy spirit to the Gentiles there (Cornelius and his family and friends).

The passage ends with the others finally understanding that "God has even granted the Gentiles repentance unto life."

So Christ is the one who taught them to go to the Gentiles.

    Peace,
