More fear and paranoia WT-style! (11/15/13 WT)

I usually dismiss the "drinking the Kool aid" scenarios that are posted from time to time, but the latest WT has another bit of fearmongering. The quote from page 20, para 17. Elders who are reading this article can draw some useful conclusions from the account we have just considered: (1) The most practical step that we can take to prepare for the coming attack of “the Assyrian” is that of strengthening our faith in God and helping our brothers to do the same. (2) When “the Assyrian” attacks, the elders must be absolutely convinced that Jehovah will deliver us. (3) At that time, the lifesaving direction that we receive from Jehovah’s organization may not appear practical from a human standpoint. All of us must be ready to obey any instructions we may receive, whether these appear sound from a strategic or human standpoint or not. (4) Now is the time for any who may be putting their trust in secular education, material things, or human institutions to adjust their thinking. The elders must stand ready to help any who may now be wavering in their faith. Now what I can't figure out is whether they seriously think they are going to be given some "vision" from Jah himself, or if they are just trying to scare the troops, keep them from leaving so to speak. Opinions?

Delivered--right into slavery. Follow joke-hova, and I can assure that thing will make sure you become a slave. You will not have a damn thing. You will not have nice clothing, good emergency supplies, or decent appliances that you can rely on when you need them to work. Your health will suffer, since you cannot afford decent food and joke-hova will not do anything to help you. You become dependent on the Filthful and Disgraceful Slavebugger, and what little you happen to have gets pooled. Ultimately, everyone gets pulled down to the lowest level, just as in communism. This benefits no one except the tiny number of scumbags at the top.

To me, this is worse than "socialism". In socialism, people build each other up. If I have a strength where you are weak, I assist you to become stronger in that area and/or fill in in that area. Elsewhere, where I have weakness, I get more assistance and building up in that area. In this way, everyone becomes stronger. In communism, I get reduced in areas where I am stronger, bringing me down to the lowest level and helping no one. And Christi-SCAM-ity, including jokehovianism, is just like communism.

That's the 2nd or 3rd time in the past couple years they've printed a "obey us even if our instructions sound impractical or harmful" message.

    What do they have planned?

    What do they have planned?

I certainly hope not a KCN tainted, non-alcoholic beverage for everyone....

    Also:

At that time, the lifesaving direction that we receive from Jehovah’s organization may not appear practical from a human standpoint.

This implies that the direction will come through the org, but originate from a non-human standpoint i.e. Jah will phone Brooklyn to pass the instructions along.

My best guess what they are planning, keeping in mind that it all about the money. They have consolidated branch offices and sold off Brooklyn, which has given them some cash for now. But what when this starts to run out? The next would be to start consolidating congregations and sell off kingdom halls, with money requested to be sent to headquarters. As KHs are often already paid off and persons will have to travel farther to get to the meetings, this does not sound logical or practical - but the flock "must be ready to obey any instructions".

A few years ago, I was acquainted with a lady who grew up in Germany during World War II. She's not Jewish. Some children, including herself, were staying at a convent for protection from whatever might happen at their homes. Once when bombs were dropping all around, the children in her convent were herded to the basement and told not to go outside under any circumstances.

My friend, about 8 years old at the time, of course, could think of nothing but going outside, so she did, contrary to orders. While she was outside, a bomb hit the convent, killing all of the children and nuns inside.

Disobedience is not always the wrong course.

That reminded me. Remember that "Hal-Bop" cult that all committed suicide to get to the mother ship on the back side of Haley's Comet? Their leader told the men to castrate themselves. Almost all of them did. One, got out. Didn't make human sense, but mind-controlled people will follow anyone.
