OH well - we can always look forward to Lady Lee returning with tales of how AAWA abused her.

Wake me up when it's done.

..if I haven't died of old age by the time she's finished..

I hope they realise that they are alienating themselves from many people in the ex-JW community by their attitude and overall incompetence. I think they lost a great opportunity for keeping their own community alive by not having some sort of free-discussion forum instead of just articles posted by cedars and comments being quickly deleted. Right now there's no place for their followers to gather other than to join as a volunteer and banter back and forth on FB. All you need to do is look at the introductory thread and see how many people were eager to join up. Now even some of those have taken a decidedly anti-AAWA stance.

I wish they wouldn't take valid questions and concerns as some sort of attack.

Pointing out security issues / risks is such valuable feedback, some companies PAY YOU A REWARD if you report flaws to them.

I don't understand this either. How did helpful criticism morph into full frontal attack? They had to know that even if their launch was an absolute success, they were still going to get some criticism. Some warranted, some not. Look at all the crap Simon takes

Many people that support AAWA also understand there has been much constructive criticism very worthy of listening to. It has evoked some changes from the fledgling organization and may continue to do so. Attacks and constructive criticism are easy to decipher in my opinion.

Yes, if they were right to change their name weren't we right for suggesting it? Same deal with facebook - they just took longer to get to the same page everyone else was on. I expect the other security and privacy issues will be addressed at some point and will then be another demonstration of what an awesome job they are doing and how we just never show them the support they think they are entitled to.

Simon I appreciate and recognize your constructive criticism. I think it is obvious that those outside AAWA and some within AAWA have been listening. I believe many board members of AAWA are still registered users on JWN. I would assume they and others are taking note.

Will they issue a statement, "Thank you JWN, for helping us improve"? Probably not. But the ExJW community will decipher that for themselves.

HJow is it obvious? Their charter/mission/rant is clear on how non support of them makes u the enemy.

I erased the rest because it's all been there done that. If u don't get it know, you probably never will.

Simon's not looking for an acknowledgment. Just hoping for some reasonableness and accountability. And to get this crap out of his living room

I'm not looking for 'thanks' (although I certainly don't appreciate unfair blame).

It's really just about having things done right and safely for everyone, them included.

Taking complains as being attacks is just wrong and counter-productive in the long run.

Wha, just on this thread page alone you have used the following language directed at AAWA:

    "the arrogance they display"

    "terrible attitude"

    "no point to their conversation"

    "delusional"

    "controversial"

    "immature"

    "bragging"

    "victim mentality"

    "their cause. Whatever that is..."

    "mission/rant"

Would you classify this verbage as critically "constructive" or an "attack"?
