You are deluded and it frightens me.

Sab, calling names to support your position is unacceptable. If you cannot argue on the merits, you should re-think your argument.

I agree with you that the WTBS ruins lives. Any system that seeks to control freedom of personality and expression will do that. However, selectively banning things is not the solution. Education is the solution. Religiousness overall is declining, largely due to education.

Were you brought up as a JW sab or did you buy into it ?

    I agree, that's why I don't do it.

Yes, education of how death cults work. They operate just like organized crime. There is the front end and the back end. If you just study the front, you will be decieved and they will laugh all the way to the bank.

I woke up on this planet in 1984 and the Watchtower called me sonny boy.

Now I see I'm not as educated as you on the subject of blood, and don't know all the particulars

Thank you for explainin' where your fustration stem

My fustration stem from the basic fact like people dyin' when they didn't have to

becuase the WTS doctine changed to allow what they once had to refuse

What's wrong with allowing doctors to say, "You were brainwashed by a death cult, that's why you can look your daughter in the eyes and watch her die needlessly." Then you can escort them to therapy. Anyone who would allow their children to die like that have obviously been mentally compromised. In the case of Watchtower members their freedom has already been taken, now they are just damaging society. To protect a death cult because of religious freedom is immoral. Taking the lowest part of religion and calling that all religion is intellectually lazy.

    WasBlind,

That is obviously the crest of the wave of frustration, this issue leads to people we love dying. It bothers me a lot. Thankfully I have got all the JW parents in my family to agree to give blood to the kids if needs be. To be fair they had come to this conclusion already I just reinforced it. I beleive many JW's decide this also, in secret.

In fact I read in a recent journal that many JW's secretly accept blood now, it is never reported due to confidentiality, but a sizable percentage. Also a recent article (i posted on this forum) brought attention to JW parents signing over legal autonomy for their children to the courts in order to avoid a social service investigation etc.

    Sabatious,

So you fell for the hard sell? At what point did they take control of your mind? On the doorstep when you answered?

I didn't fall for anything. I was a kid. Your argument is the same as saying it's the child's fault for getting raped because they could have avoided it! Kids are the true victims of cults and the rapists who hide within them.

You did. An apology would be in order. Personal attacks do not strengthen your position.

    Everything.

Taking the lowest part of religion and calling that all religion is intellectually lazy.

All religion that seeks to create a system where some die and some live is exactly that. I am sorry you are unable to see that.

    Everything.

It should be looked at as an act of coerced manslaughter. The people who made the choice to allow their children to die without reason need psychological help. They are not criminals, they are victims, but they cannot be trusted with their children until they are released from the bonds of Watchtower mind control. The criminals (mind control artists) need to be brought to justice. Attacking all of religion will not solve anything. It's mind control itself that should be attacked. You disappoint me.

Then it's a matter for the courts.

They are not criminals, they are victims, but they cannot be trusted with their children until they are released from the bonds of Watchtower mind control.

So what if doctor's decide YOU can't be trusted with your children until you are released from the control of the Christian death cult?

Attacking all of religion will not solve anything. It's mind control itself that should be attacked. You disappoint me.

I really don't care if I disappoint you. Teaching children invisible beings are watching them and that unless they talk to and love a certain one then they will be killed is wrong. What's good for the goose is good for the gander.
