I must say zeb, science only sounds like the WTS to you because you don't understand it. The WTS tries to prove things which are evidently not true by dishonestly twisting the meanings of words, by confusing people with complex and fallacious comparisons and calculations and by blatently lying. Science finds things out by making a hypothesis and then testing that hypothesis to see if it fits the facts.

For a comparison of science and pseudoscience, have a look at my blog posts about:

In 2009, the Attenborough Studio was opened in the Darwin Centre of the Natural History Museum in London. It features an amazing interactive show narrated by David Attenborough (a famous evolutionist and nature documentary narrator in the UK). Back in the summer I did a tour of the Natural History Museum for a few xJWs who are part of the meetup group that we organise in the UK and we visited the Attenborough Studio after which I gave a presentation of various aspects of evolution that many fiind difficult to understand.

I recommend anyone visiting London toNatural History Museum because it's totally free and an amazing experience. A trailer to the show is on YouTube here:

Anyone in the UK who has Sky 3D will be able to watch David Attenborough's new documentary called "Natural Histroy Museum Alive" on New Year's Day. A link to the trailer for it is here: http://www.nhm.ac.uk/about-us/museum-information/attenborough-sky-3d/index.html

An unashamed Bump for a Thread that needs to be kept to the for. Newbies will benefit no end, as have some of us longer in the tooth.

Thanks to all who contributed thus far.

Cry2Jesus - Posting copy-paste is not how we discuss things.

There are many excellent posts on this thread where some of us have explained difficult ideas in our own words.

You need to do likewise. It is clear you have not read a single word of this excellent thread.

Please tell me which books about evolution - written by evolutionary biologists - you have studied.

Moderators - In the interests of not allowing this thread to be blighted by reams of mindless copy-paste would you consider deleting Cry2Jesus' wall of text above in the hope he/she might engage with the actual topic?
