How are "hateful" atheists helping struggling witnesses on JWN or society in general?

No I think you were robbed of the title to be honest. You are waaaaay more sarcastic than me.

EP and Cofty, there's a New King in town!

EP, I think my post with the sarcasm function may have pushed me over the top in the sarcasm category vs your laughing dog; that guy has lost his impact, LOL.

Cofty, unfortunately some people don't understand what an "ad hominem" is, and mistakenly believe it means ANY and ALL questioning or challenge to the ideas they present. Fact is, some people's egos are so intertwined with their beliefs, that challenging what they say IS taken by them as a personal attack, when in fact it's not, except they insist on taking it that way. Oh, well.... People are not allowed to rewrite the definitions of words, simply to suit THEIR needs.

Data-dog, I haven't made it to that thread yet, but thanks in advance for having the honor and decency to apologize for your mistake.

Wouldn't life be so much easier when people do that, rather than trying to deny their mistakes, or worse: trying to blame others for merely pointing out the mistake (so as to avoid misleading others), or coming up with shallow justifications to excuse their mistakes? Lame-o.

In my post-JW World, ALL that matters is knowledge and truth: if it doesn't withstand the challenge of a simple fact-check and external verification AND is perpetuated with full awareness that it's a lie, then it's contemptible, despicable, and deserving of all the consternation and shame that can be mustered. People misleading others for the sake of their personal agenda is inexcusible, whoever is doing it; it's the same ol' crap, just a different flavor of it.

If they're a hateful atheist, not as in atheism per se or joining the liberal
believers in being against the conservative believers' misinformation and
    'centric harm,

but are hateful as in being 'centric and intolerant for others as shown in
harmful misinformation (Jews all want to bash children against rocks for Zionism
and only socialize with Jews, Christians are all Romney or Paul Broun types on a
handful of issues, Muslims are all wife beaters and terrorists, etc., and faith
in God makes those things happen)

they encourage JWs to supplant one batch of harmful 'centric misinformation
and social dysfunction with another and add another flavor of such devisive
problems to society. At the worst, the hateful ones even join the worst of the
others on the list of the biggest abominations in human history.

    King Solomon,

My apology was sincere, just so you know. That doesn't change the fact that you tend to be insulting when someone disagrees with you. People are not simple tools for others to use to get their point across. There are some here that are in fragile states. I also want to take this opportunity to apologize to anyone else that I may have insulted or hurt. We know there are some who becuase of the WTBTS are barely hanging on. They may not be where you are in their efforts to free themselves from the WT. Their feelings are real, and shouldn't be trampled on just so you or I can see our name above a funny post. Wouldn't you agree that attacks should have no place in a discussion at all? If you consider yourself wise , thats fine, then use it to instruct and not berate. A good teacher does not make others feel inferior or ignorant, even if the student is ignorant of a fact. That behavior is counter-productive. The people on this forum are a good representation of our society as a whole in my opinion. How are things going to change on a larger scale if we can't even comminicate without attacking each other on this forum?

Healthworker is headed to a JC. If you are a JW you know the stress he is under. Please take his comments with a grain of salt. I know the Elders have no power over me personally. Stii they have power in the minds of almost everyone I have ever know. They can greatly affect my life. I got 5 or six gray hairs from all my meetings and would jump when my phone rang. I hear stories of ex-JWS who still have shell-shock years later, so please don't be too hard on Healthworker.

Signing a snotty, snide, hate-filled, sarcastic, rude and self-righteous OP with "Love", doesn't make it any less bullying...Palmtree

**sigh** It's sad to watch the self justification for this isn't it Palmtree? But then some do believe that signing 'love' at the end of their posts means that everything they say is loving....LOL

cofty....LOL, I hope you get your caps lock under control soon.

Yes my apologies for SHOUTING all day. Actually this thread needed a bit of shouting.

It only happens when I am posting on my mobile phone on JWN?

besty....that certainly was interesting...but was love mentioned?.., maybe it was just ANOTHER loaded question...followed by love.

[edit] I just checked...yes, it was followed by love and full of self importance to boot!

Recovery - will you rise to the challenge and make changes within the jw community or will you end up as any other COWARD following company rules

    quote:

Tell me how you are planning to make life better for Jw still inside!

I have done something about it! What will you do?

    Love Healthworker

[edit again] I wonder how calling this JW a coward helped them? Is this considered name calling? Or is this LOVE?
