    Jehovah's Witnesses refute! Nederlandse versie

    "The heart of the righteous one
    meditates so as to answer,
    but the mouth of the wicked one
    bubbles forth with bad things" -
    Proverbs 15:28

    Despite the good intentions of Jehovah's Witnesses we often face adversaries that promulgate (false) accusation s against us. This site refutes some accusations floating around Internet.

    Every accusation is treated the same way: a short summary of the accusation and then the refutation. We try to keep all as brief as possible, which sometimes results in the impossibility to treat all aspects of the accusation.

    Why this site?

    Please read the pages at the
    bottom of this page carefully.

    Accusations :

    Present accusations (1977 - now)

    Recent accusations (1942 - 1977)

    The era under guidance of brother Rutherford (1917 - 1942)

    WT responds says:

    "Despite the good intentions of Jehovah's Witnesses we often face adversaries that promulgate (false) accusation s against us."

    Hmmm, why am I thinking of the old saying something about "the road to Hell is paved by those with good intentions?"

    WT Responds says:

    "The heart of the righteous one
    meditates so as to answer,
    but the mouth of the wicked one
    bubbles forth with bad things" -
    Proverbs 15:28

    Whew: that was a close call. I thought they might pull out the atom bomb, "the fool says there is no God...."

    Hahahaa, then refute this you dopes--- The faithul and discreet Slave are a made up group of people, ie, a literary device, if you, that is used to control the JW membership, not actual persons.

    Not true?-- Then all you have to do is introduce us to one bona fide living member of the F&DS class that provides the JWs with "meat in due season". Just one real live person who has official recognition (in print or in legal WT documents) from the WT corporation as being one of those special spiritual JWs who has a direct line to Jehoover's angelic messengers and controls the "getting brighter light bulb" in the WT writing department.

    It is incorrect to say that the WTS JOINED the United Nations. They did form a NONGOVERNMENTAL ORGANIZATION (NGO) that ASSOCIATED with the United Nations and as an NGO were required to support the UN Charter. Note the highlighted part shows that the WTS was required to support UN actions using armed force. So I try hard never to use the word "join" and undercut where the WTS truly betrayed their own neutrality policy.

    UN NGO Requirements

    CRITERIA FOR ASSOCIATION

    WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC INFORMATION (DPI)

    a) The NGO must support and respect the principles of the Charter of the United Nations;

    b) The NGO must be of recognized national or international standing;

    c) The NGO should operate solely on a non-for-profit basis and have tax-exempt status;

    d) The NGO must have the commitment and the means to conduct effective information programmes with its constituents and to a broader audience about UN activities by publishing newsletters, bulletins and pamphlets; organizing conferences, seminars and round tables; or enlisting the attention of the media;

    e) The NGO should have an established record of continuity of work for a minimum of three years and should show promise of sustained activity in the future;

    f) The NGO should have a satisfactory record of collaboration with UN Information Centres/Services or other parts of the UN System prior to association;

    g) The NGO should provide an audited annual financial statement, conducted by a qualified, independent accountant;

    h) The NGO should have statutes/bylaws providing for a transparent process of taking decisions, elections of officers and members of the Board of Directors.

    UN Charter Preamble

    PREAMBLE

    WE THE PEOPLES OF THE UNITED NATIONS DETERMINED
    • to save succeeding generations from the scourge of war, which twice in our lifetime has brought untold sorrow to mankind, and
    • to reaffirm faith in fundamental human rights, in the dignity and worth of the human person, in the equal rights of men and women and of nations large and small, and
    • to establish conditions under which justice and respect for the obligations arising from treaties and other sources of international law can be maintained, and
    • to promote social progress and better standards of life in larger freedom,
    AND FOR THESE ENDS
    • to practice tolerance and live together in peace with one another as good neighbours, and
    • to unite our strength to maintain international peace and security, and
    • to ensure, by the acceptance of principles and the institution of methods, that armed force shall not be used, save in the common interest, and
    • to employ international machinery for the promotion of the economic and social advancement of all peoples,
    HAVE RESOLVED TO COMBINE OUR EFFORTS TO ACCOMPLISH THESE AIMS

    Accordingly, our respective Governments, through representatives assembled in the city of San Francisco, who have exhibited their full powers found to be in good and due form, have agreed to the present Charter of the United Nations and do hereby establish an international organization to be known as the United Nations.

    Thank you Blondie-- Strawman arguments are so common in life, today, that they don't stand out. It takes a smart cookie to know you are being tricked.

    I am of the opinion the creator of the rufute! site doesn't realize he isn't dealing squarely.

    He is framing the accusations pretty clearly and rather courageously. But, he is pretty much blind to the essence of the charges.

    If you don't intellectually understand the idea that YOU COULD BE WRONG, then, you can't really objectively deal with the problem of confirmation bias.

    How many of us at our strongest hour of JW influence would do any better?

    re the Bulgarian agreement the defender states:

    " Are the elders "representatives of the Society" that have to follow the statutes of the Society? Not at all. They are shepherds that watch over the moral cleanness of the congregation. The Society plays no part in this at all. Therefore, it is completely true the Society does not control or sanction wrongdoers. This is done by the local elders. "

    Utter & total nonsense. The society appoints , directs & deletes the elders. The elders have to follow the societies directions given through numerous letters , KM schools , twice yearly meetings with the CO where an outline from the WTBTS is read out etc etc. If they disagree ( eg over the WTBTS stand on higher education ) then they get deleted. So a completely specious argument.

    it is completely true the Society does not control or sanction wrongdoers. This is done by the local elders.

    If that is true why does the Society require the elders to send an S-77 form to them every time someone is DF'ed?

    And why will they jump all over the elders if that form reveals that the correct procedures were not followed?

    Liar liar, pants on fire!

    These are sad arguments. If this is all the Watchtower has they are going to be losing the appeal in the Conti case for sure.

    Even that site is useful... There are accusations.... There are "rumors", people are talking.... whatever thing that makes the WTclones to read the internet, to use google to research is good.... as long as they disobey their ruler.... those are little steps..

    Even the guy who created that site is disobeying the WT..... that pays off. He will do it again in other matters.
