It is also about the the "I" in BITE.

By preempting the legitimate "what (tf) about Armageddon" question, they get to control how the R&F are introduced to the news that Mother will be moving. Any questioning at a later time would conveniently be pointed to the already given answer (duh, dummies) by no other but a GB member....

'Although we are not yet certain of Jehovah’s will regarding Warwick, we are proceeding to develop the site with the intention of relocating the world headquarters of Jehovah’s Witnesses there.'

This is an unusual admission that they are not being led by holy spirit. They never have been, but I can't recall when they have admitted it so plainly. There was a time when the Organization would have insisted the bldg project was 'Jehovah's will, and should be viewed as a sign that He was moving His people forward in these critical last days.'

There was a time when anyone doing this would have been accused of 'running ahead of Jehovah!'

The other remark tells us that they are completely uncertain about the closeness of the great tribulation.

'If the great tribulation interrupts our plans, that will be wonderful, absolutely wonderful!'

Isn't this ironic - they claim to know that god told them to sacrifice children to blood rules, to tell everyone to avoid getting an education, to tell everyone that the internet is evil, and to extend the "generation" into an evasive cloud of time -

But they "just don't know if it is his will to build this headquarters?"

Does anyone else think that's the Watchtower emblem on the pillar just to the left of the main entrance?

Nah, Cedars. It is the Mickey Mouse logo; just looks al ittle fuzzy in the distance...

Why are they proceeding if they aren't sure this is what Jehovah wants?

Why don't they wait for clear direction?

Aren't they "running ahead of Jehovah's chariot"?

    Bad example for the R & F.

Jehovah's alleged "will" is irrelevant to the leaders of the WTBTS. They do what ever they want and then justify it with oily rhetoric.

I can remember some of my jw family questioning the building projects shortly before 1975. They were told that God would protect these properties to be used in the new system....so where would the electricity come from with only a few million jws...Life on Earth Without People scenario.

This particular rhetoric isn't so oily.

It's basically saying, "We don't know if Jehovah wants us to do what we're spending millions of dollar doing, but we're doing it anyway."

    Quite an admission.
