Quandry, your experience matches mine. For many Witnesses, the anti-college message isn't getting thru. They have a dozen different ways to spin it in their heads to overcome the Watchtower's cultish advice.
The funniest one was from a brother prominent in convention accounting whose daughter was pursuing an advanced university degree in music "because she wanted to serve someday at Bethel" in their orchestra/whatever.

and of course the internet is mentioned as well. Although every major company in the world uses the internet for employment purposes, posting your profile on the net is like taking drugs. Is there someway of obtaining a better image? Normal people will no longer think Witnesses are innocent, good people when they see that college is equated with heavy drug use (1 cigarette). Yes, I've seen soft core porn and attended college. Drugs, pornography and college just go together. I feel that the brothers who write this crap are prob. college educated themselves. Let them dig ditches for a living and see what they think.

I went back to college, now I'm addicted to crack. Slippery slope my friends. Higher education is truly a gateway drug. Gotta go now, in the middle of an orgy cuz I took a history class.
