A reality test for Jehovah's Witnesses that really seems to work

What happened in 1991? Crime has been declining since then, even though the population still increases.

    Fall of the Soviet Union

In December of 1991, as the world watched in amazement, the Soviet Union disintegrated into fifteen separate countries. Its collapse was hailed by the west as a victory for freedom, a triumph of democracy over totalitarianism, and evidence of the superiority of capitalism over socialism. The United States rejoiced as its formidable enemy was brought to its knees, thereby ending the Cold War which had hovered over these two superpowers since the end of World War II. Indeed, the breakup of the Soviet Union transformed the entire world political situation, leading to a complete reformulation of political, economic and military alliances all over the globe .http://www.coldwar.org/articles/90s/fall_of_the_soviet_union.asp

My generation was led to believe the Cold War would end in a nuclear holacaust. Instead, the U.S.S.R. collapsed and a huge peace dividend began. The beginning of world wide technology in the form of personal computers led to a period of economic growth that bettered prospects for practically everybody willing to work. Microsoft shipped Windows 3.0 in 1990:)

    Yea, a positive thread!

Look at pollution. In the 70's virtually every body of water along the eastern seaboard was very contaminated. Now you can swim in almost all of them. I also remember trash lining the roads everywhere because we all treated the world like a trash dump. Remember the deadly hole in the ozone layer? Closed up! Oh ya, and that country that used to have "whites only" water fountains now has a black president.

    factoid-

Take a guess-- How many bona fide real live members of the F&DS were seen in New York and how many Jackalopes were spotted in South Dakota this year?

    That Jack-a-lope looks mighty tasty!

Those FDS anointed remnant are mysterions inhabiting a mythical world.

Like a crazy Uncle living as a hermit we all whisper about them but don't really want to get caught in a conversation.

My first inkling of these special folk was circa 1959 and it sounded sort of creepy back then, too.

Since most JWS are not well educated, particularly on history, they do absorb the teachings that we are living in the last days,

based upon what the WTS. has doctrinally taught them.

And hey doesn't that help promote the circulation of the WTS. literature ?

The return of Christ in 1914, the signs of the times precluding to Armageddon,

the earthly Paradise which only a few select people whom god choses to live on to, these are all parts

of the whole marketing strategy taken upon the WTS. to support their Publishing company.

They know what works for them and they have no intrinsic intension to change what they have got going,

at least not in the immediate future. This is a man made organization by men for men, unfortunately 7 million people

living today cant mentally comprehend or realize this.

How much of our own World View was deliberately selected by ourselves APART FROM what we already subconsciously absorbed just by living around the views of everybody else?

For example, if you are born into a Ford family you pretty much accept the "fact" that Chevy's aren't much good.

If you were living in a white family in Mississippi in the 1950's there was an iron clad "truth" about people of color you simply did not have reason to question.

Ideas and prejudices and superstitions seep in to our thinking and become solid and unimpeachable.

We EXPECT them to be true and we automatically defend them.

It might come as a huge shock to certain kids when Santa Claus turns out to be a conspiracy among adults to FOOL you into having a wonderful time.

You might discover a beloved family member molests kids.

Any number of things can knock you loose from your PRESUPPOSITIONS and cause you to think for the VERY FIRST TIME about something

    you'd never have otherwise questioned.

With Jehovah's Witnesses it is the same thing. It really takes a surprise and an unexpected explosion inside their thinking center to DISLODGE the automatic "truth" from reality.

But, an intellectually honest person will discover all the repressed "doubts" come flooding out like coins from a slot machine when all the little cherries line up in a row!

The PAYOFF is sudden clarity for the first time.

If this is allowed to linger, then, freedom of thought is the most natural consequence.

That is what I'm looking for in knocking the JW loose from the glue that binds them to the lies.

Psychological mechanisms to control people are apparent in just about every known religion, if its not fear, its the expulsion of education

outside the parameters of the religion itself. There is reality encompassed in knowledge that can hurt or indenture damage to these set

mechanisms of control and the WTS. has tried intensionally to block information which would loosen their control over people.

In other words created power becomes redundant if you don't make the effort to hold on to it for it will surely fade away.

Therefore to controlling religious cults like the WTS/JWS, ignorance does have meaningful expressed value.

In 1960 the murder rate was 9,110 compared to 2010's rate @ 14,748 which is an increase of 16%

You have to compare the population growth rates to see the DROP of 1% 17% minus 16% equals=1% drop

Not to be like the JW alarmist, but.... It's way more complicated than that.
Kidnapping for profit is virtually nonexistant in the U.S. because of modern technology. We can trace cellphones and cameras are all over the place and the biggest problem is picking up the untraceable money. Children are still kidnapped by relatives and perverts, though.

But on to murder. Violent stranger murder is down, but that doesn't mean that violence against non-strangers is down. Part of the murder rate being lowered in many cases is legal and part of it is medical. People are charged with various kinds of involuntary manslaughter instead of murder or proof is given that these things were accidents where such proof was rarely found in the past. And the biggest factor is emergency medicine. Ambulance responses and E.R. care keep many violence victims alive. The attackers are then charged with "attempted" murder or assault or the like because the victim survived.

But I do love the 115 information and it does reveal a JW mindset.
