Too many? Nah, he needs somewhere to go with the $2,000,000 bus he just bought and tricked out to the nines with the taxpayers money. I wouldn't expect anything less of him. Quite typical actually...

Wouldn't it be great if a GOP contender could be tied to a gay nightclub!?

    ------

Shallow. Don't read much do ya?

The reason IT IS INTERESTING is because he is very ANTI-GAY. He wasn't tied to a gay nightclub..a receipt that was submitted for his business expenses put him there. He said it was his wife - I think. There has also been a full page ad put in the SF paper about this and that was what the talk show was following - people who claim to know him. I said I found it MORE interesting than a ridiculous debate on whether or not a President is taking a vacation - everyone is entitled to a vacation and there will never be a good time that suits anyone so it's not even a worthy question to ask.

Then again, given Paul Ryan charging people $15 bucks to get into a meeting with him, going on vacation to Colorado with his family when his constituents are trying to speak with him, the police being called on protesters in his office - and yup, getting paid a few hundred thou by the taxpayer and then charging them a fee to see him...well now, that IS hypocrisy.

Just so you understand why the interest from people - here is a clip from mother jones - sammies

what exactly has Perry done? Well, for one, he is (still) a supporter of the Texas"homosexual conduct" statute, an archaic law that made it a crime for two consenting, unrelated adults to have sex if they were of the same gender. The law was ruled unconstitutional by the Supreme Court in the landmark 2002 case Lawrence v. Texas, but, despite repeated efforts, Texas has yet to formally repeal the statute. When Perry was asked about the Lawrence case in 2002, he defended the anti-sodomy statute: "I think our law is appropriate that we have on the books." He wrote about the case in his 2011 book Fed Up, too, citing the Lawrence decision as the product of "nine oligarchs in robes" and an example of what's wrong with our judicial system. And last spring, when Perry ran for his third full term as governor, he did so on a state GOP platform that exlicitly stated "we oppose the legalization of sodomy."

LOLOLOL......HE doesn't own any bus. Geeshus...HE didn't trick it out. They used to lease, retrofit and the dismantle the buses all the time at GREAT COST to the taxpayer. Lame, lame, lame. What a NON issue. sammies

    -------------------

President Barack Obama's limo is a "Beast" but his new bus is a even more of a monster.

The US leader swept onto the campaign trail Monday with a sleek and even sinister looking set of wheels with blacked out windows worth $1.1 million.

The shiny, black armored bus, bristling with secret communications technology, with flashing police-style red and blue lights on the front and the back, made its debut on Obama's three-day tour of Minnesota, Iowa and Illinois.

The vehicle was commissioned by the Secret Service, which has always hired buses for election campaignsand retrofitted them to provide suitable protection for presidents and rival party nominees.

But the Service decided to commission its own vehicles, reasoning that the initial total outlay of 2.2 million dollars for two buses would soon pay for itself over a projected 10-year lifespan.

"We have demonstrated the need for these buses going back to 1980," said Ed Donovan, a Secret Service spokesman, recalling the days when future president Ronald Reagan stormed the country by bus.

Each of the new buses will be available to Obama and the eventual Republican presidential nominee if required through the duration of the 2012 election season.

But because they are part of the official US government fleet, campaigns will not be able to splash their political logos or other banners over the buses, which will retain their black paint schemes.

The vehicles will also be used as secure, mobile locations for the Secret Service when protectees travel to remote locations, Donovan said.

Officials declined to disclose the exact specifications of each bus, but said the precautions were in line with those taken for other presidential vehicles, including Obama's hulking limousine, nicknamed the "Beast."

The official Cadillac has thick reinforced doors and reportedly has bullet-proof glass and is tough enough to withstand a rocket-propelled grenade or chemical attack.

The vehicle is flown around the world in huge US cargo aircraft, and appears wherever Obama does.

My Congressman, Daryl Issa, has been on the dog trail sniffing for 'the most corrupt president in history' according to Rush Limbaugh and so far the President looks pretty clean. The one big egg has been the ATF's gun running scheme to Gangs in Mexico.

I think they don't want him to be safe. They don't want him to have a birthday. They don't want him to have a non-shocking vacation. They just hate him. Obama will never be able to do anything right in the eyes of some, and those some are not at all concerned about how ridiculous they look.

    Look---he's eating! People are hungry!

Look---he's sleeping! People don't have beds!

Look---he's laughing. He's so oblivious to the pain!

It's so laughable, but sad too. Presidents take vacations. Grow up and get over. Look for something with substance.
