  When it's just my daughter and I, we will bow our heads

  and whisper a prayer between the two of us, when

  the old man is with us, he'll whisper a prayer between

  the three of us, but before he starts I remind him in no

  uncertain terms to keep it brief cause I'm hungry, if I don't

  put a time limit on it , I'll have to sit there and listen to him

  thank God for every decade (6) of his life, plus two years

  Folks who pray out loud in public ARE trying to make a scene and make a big show of themselves AND they ARE indeed self-aggrandizing asshats for that.

  This makes me think of Matthew 6:5 too. AMEN!
