Exclusive: Alan Dershowitz Defends Sarah Palin’s Use of Term ‘Blood Libel’

In an exclusive statement, famed attorney and Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz defended Sarah Palin’s use of the term “blood libel” from multiple detractors. As the Media Matters/MSM/Democrat narrative on the Tucson tragedy unravels, they are getting a lot more desperate in their attacks on Palin. Fortunately, there are still plenty of honest liberals around:

The term “blood libel” has taken on a broad metaphorical meaning in public discourse. Although its historical origins were in theologically based false accusations against the Jews and the Jewish People, its current usage is far broader. I myself have used it to describe false accusations against the State of Israel by the Goldstone Report. There is nothing improper and certainly nothing anti-Semitic in Sarah Palin using the term to characterize what she reasonably believes are false accusations that her words or images may have caused a mentally disturbed individual to kill and maim. The fact that two of the victims are Jewish is utterly irrelevant to the propriety of using this widely used term.

That was CLYBURN (D), you gullible person:

Yes, Burn, that is why I put it in a quote box.

Meanwhile, House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA), the only Republican member of Congress who is Jewish, had this to say:

    • ::

Meaning Cantor said nada, nothing, zip, zilch to say. You deceitful person.

    The left rag New Republic

Lord Help Me, I'm Defending Palin

To late to walk it back! HAHAHAHAHA!

What's happening is that Palin has come to represent unhinged grassroots conservatism, and people in the media immediately (and incorrectly) associated Loughner with the far right. Moreover, the Republican establishment understands her potential candidacy as a liability and is looking to snuff it out. So you have this weird moment where Palin is on trial for something she has no connection with at all.

Sheriff Dumnik is trying to hide evidence! Why is that?

On Monday, The Republic requested copies of any reports from the Pima County Sheriff's Department involving contacts with Loughner or calls to his house. Pima County Deputy Rene Carlson said her office would not release the reports without a specific date, though this is not required by state statute.

Carlson said providing these documents would be tantamount to releasing criminal history.

Carlson said she could not speculate on the nature of any calls for service regarding Loughner. She also said no calls or incidents involved threats made by Loughner.

still, no one is responding to the "joking" death prayers on Republican NJ governer Chris Christie.

"Blood libel" is slandering someone by falsely linking them to an event that had bloodshed.
The leftist media know this was a great speech and can only come up with this pathetic, semantic lie.
    Keep digging, jackasses.

Weren't you threatening armed insurrection last year?

Does no one have the ear of this woman to prevent her using words she does not understand?

And are wingnuts really defending using "blood libel"? They need to get a grip of themselves. Seriously.

Have you ever stopped to think there might be a legitimate REASON for the distrust? You are either very young (under 25) or very gullible.

No not at all, there is every reason to , but that doesn't excuse irresponsible campaigning, does it now.

I do think there some over playing out of the actions by both the left and the right.

I hope my point is getting across that all political parties should be accountable for themselves in their conduct.

Pointing fingers at just one group in disingenuously bias and dishonest.

I suppose I've should have stated that earlier.
