But I also think putting some blame on the place of worship for a pedophile using it to groom kids is also wrong.

It is absolutely NOT WRONG when the church has made an extraordinary effort to hide pedophilia in the past.

If this had been in a Baptist church or a Catholic church, or a Methodist church would it even be up here? of course not.....Debator

    Debator/Reniaa..

    Had this been another religion..

Jehovah`s Witness`s would be on this story like a Dog on a Bone..

The Rumour Mill in Watchtower World is huge..

Jehovah`s Witness everywhere would know about it within a matter of days..

    But..

    It`s another WBT$ pedophile problem..

So the WBT$ is going to bury it so deep, you`ll have to mail it sunshine..

Very few JW`s will ever hear this story..

Hypocrites like you will do their best,to help the WBT$ keep this story from public view..

    Especially in Watchtower World..

The WTS has bad PR people. it would make them look a lot better if they would be uber aggressive towards this issue and do everything in their power to rout the molesters. Then they could hold themselves up to the world as an example of how a "clean" organization works.

You know, sort of a spin on the expression, never let a crisis go to waste.

"...BTW do people on here pour through newspapers for stories like this one normally? as long as witnesses are involved? It defo feels a bit off."

This story was reported on the television news here locally (I live in the city where it happened). It's news! Get real! Do you think that people hear these stories and just think 'oh well'?

The JWs are the worst for holding themselves up as being a 'clean' organization. This is dirt! and it's public knowledge now. Try as they may, they cannot say, "Well, that never happens in OUR organization." It does. Period. Deal with it JW-apologist.

Yes, but since it occurred inside the KH, I would think that those that attend the KH should be asking themselves... how many others did this man molest.

Since he is 73 years old, it could be a lot! Plus, he has probably attended more than 1 KH in his 'career' as a JW/molester.

I personally hope that other youngsters (or not so young) come forward and say, 'Me too!' to his molesting kiddos.

You would think they would take this approach, but they always go into "protect the cult organization mode" and threaten & dare anyone to talk about it.

Puts a whole new light on that molester who wanted his parole changed so he could go to the kingdom hall (with an "escort") somewhere in New England, right?
