Br. Pierce addressed the rising number of memorial partakers at the convention on Sunday.
He said that many are asking why the number of partakers is going up year after year.
His response (paraphrasing): "It's none of our business. It's Jehovah's business".

I think that's one of the reasons for the new generation understanding; to make the number of new anointed irrelevant (since the new ones probably don't overlap with the anointed who saw 1914)

How will we know who really is the faithful and discreet slave, if we don't know who are anointed? Will they give more power to the "other sheep"?
At leats this shows that people are questioning it. If it isn't a problem they are faced with, it is simply not mentioned. So this is becoming a pain point. Certainly for years they were stating that the deminishing number showed how close to Armageddon we were, something now coming back to bite them.

It used to be that 1935 was the cutoff for the anointing (unless it was a replacement of an anointed who fell away from the org), but because of new light now the door is still open for Jeh to anoint new members. It used to be that those alive during 1914 would see Armageddon and many living in the 1920s would never die. Now with the new generation light, those alive during 1914 and 1920s will die before Armageddon.
The GB is pulling the rabbit out of the hat to cover for these errors in original understanding that so many relied upon for years.
I don't think that anybody questions them about that.

So, if people partake and don't get struck by lightning or swallowed by the earth, they must really be anointed then, right?
