Also from that website (translated to rough english):

Dear colleagues in our particular ordeal watchtoweriano:

The Governing Body Bank is selling grandma's jewels around the world ... the end of the world is at hand and plays to cash in the name of God! What could be a more noble purpose for liquid investment before it reaches the end of the world? Now it is the turn to our Central American brothers ..., that does not happen anything! Years of sweat, tears and money donations for a "cathedral" of the Jehovah's Witnesses in their country ... and now the Voice of God on Earth turns everything into hard cash! "Ripped off, perhaps? The conscientious Comrade numbers from his excellent blog, provides us with this world first ... how can we pay you all the good information you give us and the good times do we go? He makes a rigorous and serious investigation and reporting of all the tejemaje of beggars without borders and the vow of poverty of convenience. Thanks, Number! In a letter to the congregations of Nicaragua, is dated May 1, 2010. The funny thing of it is to read how Linnet underestimate the intelligence of the American publisher and how they present the pillaging other people's money by selling real estate ..., as a blessing from God! Send eggs! They say: "The implementation of this exciting prophecy is evident in the exceptional GAIN true worship now observed both in our country and the world as Lord Accelerates collection." outstanding increase "... where? Perhaps, the various evangelical churches? Is the sale of property of the Jehovah's Witnesses Central ..., is about God is speeding up the work? What work is accelerating? What a server notes, is that what light speed is accelerated to the sale and conversion of property into hard cash ... because the end of the world is on the doors! Um..what?

Anyway - that was a serious question. Are they merely moving the oversight to Mexico or actually shutting down and selling the physical branches? I don't want to make an assumption and then we all go running off with the news and be really wrong. I have people that this news will seriously affect.

    TO THE CONGREGATIONS OF NICARAGUA

    Dear brothers,

The opening words of Isaiah chapter 54 urge the heavenly part of Jehovah's organization, likened to a wife, to prepare for increases that would cause her joy.The fulfillment of that thrilling prophecy is evident in the exceptional increase of true worship that we observe nowadays both in our country and throughout the world as Jehovah accelerates the harvest (Isa. 54:1-4; 60:22).

Can Jehovah's organized people keep up with the growth He has made possible? Of course they can! A determining factor to properly satisfy the needs that arise due to rapid growth lies in the simplification of procedures. The Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses, representing "the faithful and discreet slave", has been very much aware of this important fact (Mat. 24:45-47). In recent years we have been witnesses to the implementation of several measures in favour of simplification, such as stopping serving food at assemblies, the centralization of producing magazines and the other publications in several branches located by regions, as well as speeding up communication among branches and congregations. Besides, efforts have been made to design and build much needed Kingdom Halls and Assembly Halls more rapidly. No doubt all of us have benefited greatly from all these adjustments.

During the past year, the Governing Body analyzed the possibility of simplifying the administrative work carried out in smaller branches throughout the world. After analyzing the matter with the committees of the six branches in Central America, the Governing Body has determined to centralize the supervision of the Kingdom work carried out in those countries. This will be implemented in the coming months, and it will be the branch in Mexico that will be in charge of supervising the work in these territories. The date has not yet been fixed for this adjustment to come into effect, but you can rest assured things will be done in an orderly manner. Through official correspondence, the branch of Mexico will keep the bodies of elders and the congregations informed, as more information becomes available.

The theocratic direction of the Governing Body in the first century resulted in great spiritual blessings for Jehovah's people in the first century. Acts 16:4, 5 says: "As they traveled on through the cities they would deliver to those there for observance the decrees that had been decided upon by the apostles and older men that were in Jerusalem. Therefore, indeed, the congregations continued to be made firm in the faith and to increase in number from day to day". The Branch Committee in our country gives its full support to this wise decision of the Governing Body, and we have full confidence you will do the same. Jehovah will no doubt bless us for being willing to follow the theocratic direction given by "those who take the lead" (Heb. 13:17).

Rest assured that this adjustment won't affect anything the organization has provided to carry out congregation meetings, visits by travelling overseers and assemblies. Most travelling overseers, special pioneers and missionaries will continue in their current assignments. Furthermore, many congregations that need more elders and ministerial servants will be happy to count on mature brothers and sisters from Bethel who, in time, will integrate become a part of these congregations as regular or special pioneers. We also contemplate that the excellent work that is being carried out in Central America as regards the building of Kingdom Halls and Assembly Halls will take on greater momentum. There's no doubt of it: thrilling times lie ahead!

Let's be determined to benefit from these adjustments as we follow the direction of our Great Shepherd, who leads us to grassy pastures of peace and refreshment (Ps. 23:2, 3). Receive our Christian love.

    Your brothers,

    So...

Moving supervison to Mexico, no mention of closing down and selling the offices is how I read it. Look, I'd be thrilled if it happened, too but I don't want to get all excited and draw conclusions and make assumptions and ruin my credibility.

    Georgiegirl....

They are shutting down Bethels all around the world right now!

South America was reorganized awhile ago....

Spain will be for sale first....

Italy and Japan are slotted too....

There are steps that are taken first.......like 'reorganizing' administrations or shifting printing locations

The WTS has been planning this route for years........

As an international company effects in one area have effects in others.....

We are in the midst of major overhauls.

@Ynot - thanks for the response. Which branches were sold in South America? I had friends that worked building the branch in Peru.

The last paragraph makes it clear what they are doing with the facilities.

The workers are to be reassigned to assist in the local work.

    So the summation:

First, all oversight is to be moved to a different country. But not to worry. All functions can and will be managed in a good way.

Second, the workers from these 6 facilities will be transferred to the local field.

So what's left, empty shells of buildings, that's all. Why would they keep them and what purpose would they serve?

Its not stated, but its very obvious to see. They plan on selling the buildings like thay have done in EVERY other country in the world. (see Spain, the USA, etc...)

Leaving them empty would go against the stated purpose of the WTS in using its assets in a proper way. That would be a very poor business decision.

They always "say without saying". Avoiding words like "sell" and "close" help cloud the reality of the situation. The last thing the Watchtower would want is to make their agenda clear to understand by the rank & file. They are masters of spinning the facts.

It's kinda like how the real estate market tries to sell you a crappy house by substituting words with something more positive. If the house is a dump, they use "a real fixer upper". If the house is really small, they use "a cozy home to start a family". If the house is located in a remote spot, it's "spacious and quiet area".

I'm glad you mentioned that. For years the WTS has been preaching the above statement about religions, but now its coming back to them in a large way
