After reading your article I read Hebrews 2:1-3 again. I promise you, my Lord said it was "John." So, I asked... and, again, I heard it was "John". He then explained to me the meaning of Hebrews 2:1-3, as follows:
Where verse 1 states:
" 1 We must pay more careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away..."
... the word of my Lord is that what was WRITTEN is:
" 1 We must pay more careful attention, therefore, to what we HEAR, so that we do not drift away..."
The Greek word "heard" shown in the first example is "akouo"... which is a PRESENT tense word meaning "hear." It is not past tense. Because the SCRIBES who transliterated this verse didn't understand what was meant, however, they thought the verse referred to things passed down... that some heard from Christ when he walked in the flesh... and then told to others. The word of my Lord is that this is false... as shown by the following statement:
" 2 For if the message spoken by angels was binding, and every violation and disobedience received its just punishment, 3how shall we escape if we ignore such a great salvation? This salvation, which was first announced by the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard him."
... which transliteration is false. The ACCURATE transliteration of these two verses is:
" 2 For if the message spoken by angels was binding, and every violation and disobedience [against such messages] received its just punishment, 3 how shall we escape if we ignore such a great salvation, which is first spoken to us by the Lord and confirmed among us by those who hear..."
He then said that the next verse, inaccurately stated as:
" 4 God also testified to it by signs, wonders and various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will..."
is actually the conclusion of the QUESTION that was raised in verse 3 and so SHOULD read:
"God also testifying to itbysigns, wonders, a variety of miracles and gifts of holy spirit* according to His will?"
(*See 1 Corinthians 12:1-14)
So, what was John saying? He was saying:
"WE, therefore, must pay CLOSE attention to what we hear [from the Spirit] so that we don't drift away. Because if the message spoken by ANGELS [to those before the outpouring of holy spirit] was binding upon us, and every violation or disobedience [OF such sayings] resulted in righteous recompense, how can WE [to whom Christ HIMSELF speaks] escape if we ignore such a great salvation [or blessing]... which IS first spoken to us BY the Lord and confirmed among us by those who [also] hear him, God Himself also bearing witness to it by signs, wonders, various miracles, and gifts of the holy spirit given out according to HIS will?"
Why is he saying this? Because if we DON'T pay attention to what we hear from the Spirit... the FREQUENCY with which we hear AND the VOLUME... will decrease. Why? Because... WE will have drifted AWAY from that Spirit. God and Christ do not leave us, dear one. They cannot. We... leave them. It is ALWAYS us, earthling man, who leaves. Not the other way around. The error and deficiency is ours. Always.
Now, my Lord said that if you had difficulty understanding these truths (and that you would), the "witness" for it (if you need it) is found at Hebrews 12:18-28. Those verses state:
18You have notcome to a mountain that can be touched and that is burning with fire; to darkness, gloom and storm; 19 to a trumpet blast or to such a voice speaking words that those who heard it begged that no further word be spoken to them, 20 because they could not bear what was commanded: "If even an animal touches the mountain, it must be stoned." [c] 21 The sight was so terrifying that Moses said, "I am trembling with fear."
22 But you have come to Mount Zion, to the heavenly Jerusalem, the city of the living God. You have come to thousands upon thousands of angels in joyful assembly, 23 to the church of the firstborn, whose names are written in heaven. You have come to God, the judge of all men, to the spirits of righteous men made perfect, 24 to [Jesus] the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood thatspeaksa better word than the blood of Abel.
25 See to it that you do not refuse him who speaks. For if they did not escape who refused him who spoke to them on earth, how much less will we, if we turn away from him who speaks to us from heaven? 26 At that time his voice shook the earth, but now he has promised, "Once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens."27 The words "once more" indicate the removing of what can be shaken-that is, created things-so that what cannot be shaken may remain. 28 Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, 29 for our "God is a consuming fire."
So, dear one, I have to go with what I hear... from the Holy Spirit. I have to let the anointing that is IN me allow me to hear the Holy One of Israel when HE speaks... regardless of what earthling man writes... and put FAITH in it. And so I have and do. For as that One has said to me on MANY occasions, "ALL that I tell you IS written [but not necessarily in the Bible]... but not all that is written [in the Bible] is what I will tell you."
Again, I bid you peace... and ears to hear the Spirit and the Bride when they say to YOU:
"Come! Take the holy spirit of God... life's WATER... which water is poured out from the innermost parts of His Son and Christ, the Holy One of Israel and Holy Spirit, my Lord, JAHESHUA MISCHAJAH... free!"
