well, i'd had extended family become jw and had the bible studies as a 7 yr old where i saw in the paradise book a pic of an old lady being turned to a pillar of salt...woohoo!! to be honest, in perth australia in the mid 80's, these ladies givin the study seemed so genuine, which i'm sure they were, but mum didnt like the 1914 thing....so we never became jw's (I LUV MY MUM!!)...but she did threaten to take us to the kingdom hall if we kids misbehaved...which did happen a few times if we were naughty,....but obviously.....one visit and we were perfect little angels to a single mum with 3 little terrors.
high school years.........hottest girl in school (and i mean HOTTEST!!!!) in fact i've never seen any gal match her beauty.....ohhh those eyes.....just happened 2 be a jw....and wait for it an ultra cool chick as well........nothing meaningful could ever happen as her faith prevented her from participating in what every other normal teen was doing.
After i left high school i was determined to become a jw......to win this gorgeous young womans' love......yes probably 4 the wrong reasons but it seemed so right at the time.
oh sorry, got sidetracked in my pathetic nostalgia. I never gave junior any attention for 2.5 yrs while i contemplated joining pappa russells' cult......so sad, especially at an age when well, the little fella really needed me! In a perverse way i'm sorta proud that i could go that long!!
