I am not an apologist, I just try to put things in the right perspective.

Are you kidding me, what is so complicated about this topic. The WT has an association with the great BEAST.....period.

    http://www.un.org/dpi/ngosection/criteria.asp

    Criteria for association with DPI

The NGO must support and respect the principles of the Charter of the United Nations (Is that so freakin hard to understand)

    The NGO must have the commitment and the means to conduct effective information programmes with its constituents and to a broader audience about UN activities by publishing newsletters, bulletins and pamphlets; organizing conferences, seminars and round tables; or enlisting the attention of the media;

I just don't understand how people complicate things that are clear as day.

I told Betty Dunlap (Ed Dunlap's widow) about this UN scandal and she almost refused to believe that it could ever have happened. And she was just about as close to the inner circle as a person can get.

But yes, it did happen. Just like the child molestation secret, the Mexican draft coverup, 1975, etc.

    What LatinxJW said.

One of the primary requirements (indeed, purposes) of obtaining NGO status with the UN was to disseminate UN propaganda. (Why do you think the WT$ was running so many pro-UN articles through the 90's?) The NGO was even required to provide the UN with samples of their UN propaganda campaign, which the WT$ did.

Now you tell me how it is not hypocritical for God's supposed "sole channel of communication" to also be a channel of communication for the wild beast of Revelation.

Read Nahum 1:2 and tell me that "Jehovah" would share his "channel of communication" with the wild beast.

"Jehovah is a God exacting exclusive devotion and taking vengeance; Jehovah is taking vengeance and is disposed to rage. Jehovah is taking vengeance against his adversaries, and he is resentful toward his enemies" (NWT)

Tell me why an individual JW is disfellowshipped for obtaining a YMCA membership, yet there is nothing wrong with the WT$ obtaining a UN (aka wild beast) membership.

Or, a person might renounce his place in the Christian congregation by his actions, such as by becoming part of an organization whose objective is contrary to the Bible, and, hence, is under judgment by Jehovah God. (Compare Revelation 19:17-21; Isaiah 2:4.) So if one who was a Christian chose to join those who are disapproved of God, it would be fitting for the congregation to acknowledge by a brief announcement that he had disassociated himself and is no longer one of Jehovah's Witnesses. (wt 9/15/81, p.23)

You might also ask yourself why the WT$ is no longer an NGO member of the UN, if there was nothing "wrong" with such an association.

By all WT definitions of the phrase, WT would be guilty of committing "spiritual fornication" with the wild beast.

Sure, there is lot of discussion, how much support for the UN was required from the WTS to become an NGO.
After reading hours of material from both sides, the whole issue is rather a bit blurry.

The WBT$ would DF anyone from thier Religious Cult..

Had any JW done the same thing..

    It`s called Hypocrisy..

The WBT$ is run by Hypocrites..

All you need to do id read the old red revelation book written by the wt in 1963. The way the wt reviles, criticises and condemns the league of nations and the un and all religions that dealt w them will remove all blurriness from your vision. You see, it's not a matter of common sense, or how the average normal person sees things. It's about how the wt set standards in 1963, and then broke them, and covered it up, and then immediately cut it's un ties when they were found out, and then explained it away.

Was it wrong for the WTS to become an NGO, in order to benefit from UN (maybe not the stupid library argument, but maybe to help legally establish the good news

Does it mean, the WTS supported the political course of the UN, or was it just a "bunsiness deal", like I give something for gettiung soemthing ?

Like somebody benefits from governmental programs, even though all the governments are in satans hand ?

They told the members how evil the nations are and their United Nations, it's not like being a postman or clerk for the government or like actually using their library for information, their bogus excuse. They are supposed to be GOD's ORGANIZATION, the example for the flock. They are supposed to trust in God to open up the preaching work in HIS ways instead of stooping to using Satan's organization. Perhaps if they were more honest about it, they could have said it is like going to the Supreme Court to defend the preaching work, but they hid what they did and most members today are not the least bit aware of it- same with the difference between Malawi and Mexico.

If you read the Awake from the 90's, it does seem to take a tone of support for the World Health Organization and United Nations efforts. It smacks of dishonesty.

Sure, a person is free to disagree with those that say it's wrong. But shouldn't a JW be free to disagree with WTS on many things that they don't allow? It's a one-way street for them.

If you do a quick search on the CD ROM for "world Health Organisation" in Awake magazine:

    1970 - 1979 = 222

    1980 - 1989 = 343

    1990 - 1999 = 739

There certainly does seem to be an increase during the 1990's

    Interesting.

But on the "conspiracy theory" level, the library card was just an excuse for a cover later on.

From the Biblical perspective, Satan tries to interrupt and prevent the messiah from being born. How? Through logistical interference. That is, Christ must transfer from heaven to human form but that apparently takes a special "isolation" process for a period of time exceeding 24-hours. Interrupting this process on the chosen human could prevent the transference.

But the Bible describes the interference and death of the "two witnesses" at the hands of the beast from the abyss, which is the scarlet-colored wild beast, meaning the UN.

So the UN and its secret services may have thought a closer relationship with the WTS was necessary to attempt an interference. Thus Fred Franz was activelly assisting in opposing the messiah in league with the UN on the scheduled time of the second coming on December 21st, the solstice, 1992. So Jehovah killed him the next day on December 22nd and the 2nd coming then occurred 3-1/2 days later on the 25th, also as prophesied.

So, from a TECHNICAL point of view as far as Bible fulfillment, since the WTS was a member of the UN, it's participation is considered the act of the wild beast. So maybe it was the UN's idea to formally make the WTS a member of the UN, likely to get through some budgetary issues. Getting a library card was the least excuse the WTS could use to become a member.

Anyway, the WTS was cooperating with the UN to try to prevent the second coming, which they accomplished at first. Apparently Franz was instrumental at some level and once dead sufficient interruption took place to accomplish the second coming under incredible UN surveillance.

So Bible prophecy can be fulfilled when the WTS is linked to the wild beast.

    Neat.

But that's a really really focussed and nearly microscopic look at the fulfillment and connection between the WTS and the UN.

But something comes out of this that is interesting. That is, that the UN already has tens of thousands of agents infiltrated into the US and everywhere else promoting their globalist agenda.

Of note, the WTS understood the second coming through the black messiah as confirmed by their depiction in the 1988 "Revelation Book", but they didn't join the UN until 1992, the very year of the second coming. That suggests they joined to hurdle budgetary problems, not administrative ones.

"So maybe it was the UN's idea to formally make the WTS a member of the UN, likely to get through some budgetary issues...."

No. ABSOLUTELY NOT. The WTBTS sought out their membership with the UN, not the other way around.
