People have been remaking Jesus for twothousand years. Dozens of theologies and philosophical views paint layer over layer on this historical figure. Understanding his Faith and his Jewish life is a good place to begin in really getting a glimpse into why he said what he said and did what he did.

Why study with a Rabbi, why not, the Orthodox and Conservative can offer great insights into the history that was integral to Jesus the Light of the World.

I did not say you didn't believe in a bodily resurrection only that you said race and nationality didn't matter with regard to Jesus, which I found interesting seeing that he was Torah observant. If he rose as he died he is still a Jew,God is a Jew hmmm.

One's education should always continue, and mine is, and I work volunteering, a few thousand hours are required in internship programs.

-The Talmud is not an inspired work. You will get no truth from that. It was written by imperfect men who refused to look to Jesus for their salvation and tried to put their own spin on God's word.

Of course the Tamud was written by imperfect men. Jews to this day are still trying to figure out how to be human beings. They debate, disagree and ponder the meaning of life. They don't put any faith in Jesus, because he is not their Messiah. Unfortunately, for Jews, many Christians have not been willing to let them worship in peace. History tells us about the Jews that have been murdered by Christians. For example, in 1492 Catholic Spain just threw out all the Jews- of course it was a nice way to seize their property. Yes, we refuse to look to Jesus for salvation and until Jesus returns, the Jews feel they have been proven right about Jesus. Now about the spin part. I explained to a JW just last week that the NT Bible is her book and Jews don't presume to interpret the meanings of it. The Hebrew Bible is the Jews book, so why shouldn't the Jews be able to interpret, Their Book? If the Rabbi's say the story about Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden is pure metaphor- not literal, they have the right to say that. Christians, however, have decided it is a literal story and have made their "original sin" interpretation that needs a Jesus to save them- all this came from their "spin". You can take a roadmap and rename the cities, but it doesn't really change anything in the end. That is all I am saying on this subject- a door was opened and a Jewish viewpoint was needed. Everyone have a good time in PA and be nice to mankind when you get home.

You've let the KJV supercede the original

That last quote was from the ESV, but the name or word for hell is not the issue. Hell is still taught by Jews today in many circles.

Whcih goes back to the original question- 'which Jesus is allowed to show up',

We discussed that. I'm sure at a convention dealing with cults even your Jesus will be there. The only one worshipped will be the Jesus of the bible. You know, the one that said in Mat 10:28"And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell."

God to you is a 30 year old 5'6" Jew who flies around heaven. Interesting group

Do you do this to everyone you "counsel"? You like to put people in neat little boxes. And put words in there mouth.

    Saoirse

You asked designs "Why do you twist peoples words?" This is a guy that is so impressed with himself he thinks he can put words in God's mouth. Don't be surprised when he does it to you.

There have been many crimes. But, I'm sure you would agree that many Christians have died protecting Jews as well.

    I agree and thank you.

PS We'd love to see you there if you have the time.

    BLESS YOUR DEAR HEART, GRACE!

What a surprise to see that video where you mentioned lil ole ME! I so wish that I could be at that wonderful convention, but I cannot travel that far any longer. I feel very blessed and privileged to have gone that one year and will carry the marvelous memories with me as long as I live.

I was still a bit hesitant back then (after walking away from the WTS) about getting the courage up to enter a church, to take communion as I knew I should be, etc......and at that WNFJ convention, I experienced my first altar call, my "first communion" in over 40 years, and enjoyed meeting some of the finest Christians I could ever hope to be around. This was quite a magnificent breakthrough for me.....and I sobbed with gratitude through the entire communion service as I leaned on Grace (sitting right next to me) for encouragement (and Kleenex!) It was such a huge step for me that day.

My faith in Jesus really came alive for me in a whole new way, the final WTS scales fell from my eyes, and I felt like a ship that was setting sail on a wonderful new journey that has gained speed and momentum since those three days at the Blue Mt retreat.

Neon Madman.....I wish I could be there to hear you! Maybe somehow I can figure out how to obtain a tape of you. (Perhaps someone will videotape this as well.....hint, hint)

For everyone that is attending this terrific event in PA......know that you will be blessed just by the experience of being there. It far surpasses ANY WTS convention you have ever gone to....I can promise you!

    hugs,

    Annie

Grace, It's too bad someone isn't driving to PA in a deluxe diesel motorhome and they would pick you up about 7pm. You could just slide into bed, sleep the night away, while the coach is purring down the road- wake up to a nice breakfast of homemade omletes, toast, fresh fruit and juice/coffee and before you know it, you will be in PA. I wish I had someone to drive me around on vacation, too!

This lovely couple I think thier name was Davidson
Tavelled in a motor home to an assembly,on the way home they let their
10 yr old sleep in the home as she was so tired,The Home was smashed into by a truck.
She was killed. Know what the elders said????? Well it was the Brothers fault

for disobeying Caesor law... Hardly anyone comforted them...... True story!!!!!

I almost bought a big diesel motorhome 2 years ago- that was back when I expected to work another 6 or 7 years in the auto plants. I am glad I didn't do that now. For less money than the motorhome I have a 3br/3ba retirement home in SW florida with nice water views, too. Now that I am a few years older, I want family to come and visit me instead of driving to them. I hope you can get the videos of the convention, It has been 20 years since I met the Cetnars-it's hard to believe that Joan is still soldiering on.
